Dear Sir,

Thank you for listening.

In all my years of gaming, I have never seen game developers caring enough to listen to the community, weigh the issues at hand and give us a response so quickly.

I believe a lot of silent WvWers who frequent this forum thank the 6 at night for you and your professionalism and empathy. I hope you get a big raise this year for your hard work and dedication.

Thank you again.

Its Devon Carver, not Carter ;D

I’ve only seen 1 company before where they were really involved with the community. ArenaNet is not nearly as involved as they were, but they are more than most companies I see out there and I do agree that they deserves some props and respect for that.

Cheers

It is nice to see a communicative person like Devon Carter but that doesn’t change the fact that WvW has serious issues that is increasingly making people bored with the game. The core structure of the WvW-system is flawed in the sense that servers now are getting stuck in tiers and fight the same (often boring) enemies over and over. And for guilds to get good fights they have to be in higher tiers, and in the higher tiers because of the higher pop on those servers there are blobs. Blobs which cause boredom, frustration and lag.

Again… CarVer… >_>

And yeah, it’s nice that they are involved with the community a little, but the game still needs a lot of work. Still, it’s better that they are involved than if they weren’t.

It’s also one of the few if not lone game company who cared enough to start a server named after a gamer who passed whom very much looked forward to playing GW2. Would a corporation like Electronics arts alongside numerous others listen to the player community and pull this off? Answers obvious. Says something about the Anet development team…..

I have a question for Devon,

Do you have plans to have a “State of WvW” type program similar to

EA? hah!

Everyone who got EA’d will know enough about EA to try to never think of them ever again and to avoid them as much as possible.

But anyways, yeah there are very little companies out there that actually “care” about their playerbase (don’t forget Anet is still a company so their endgoal is still to get profit). Their “caring” might as well be a marketing strategy, but we’ll just go with it.
