Our server has been placed in battles over two consecutive weeks against servers that had no business being in our tier. We persevered. We’ve lost a number of guilds who decided it was more important to ride the coat tails of others than remain faithful to their home server. We survived. We were the target of accusations (some rightfully earned through the actions of rogue individuals) of hacking. We fought on.

The last two weeks have been horribly demoralizing for those of us trying to participate in WvWvW. Between the constant outmanned buff, facing countless zergs, attempting to fight against opponents who have superior numbers and coverage and the rather un-sportsman practice of spawn camping…we continued to put up what resistance we could muster. We, that remain faithful to GoM, can hold our heads high and be proud of our dedication to our server and our fellow GoM guilds. Be proud of who we remain and who we are destined to become.

Eventually we will be placed in a bracket where we can enjoy WvWvW against evenly matched opponents…and the fun will come back into this aspect of the game. Keep this in mind. It’s never fun to lose. It’s never fun to be thrown into a competition where one is destined to be over run. The server is starting to show a ripple of activity, thanks to some of our commanders attempting to rally the server. Let’s use the past as lessons going forward to make us stronger…and eventually show our foes the error of waking a sleeping dragon.

Don’t give up after 2 weeks of being outmanned!

We, on Anvil Rock, have been in that situation since release! We didn’t win a single match up yet, nor have we been in a competitive match yet! Except maybe the fight with SF that we did some good comeback.

But the important isn’t to win, it’s to have fun. You will lose your fair weather player, but that’s a good thing.

Same thing for Fair weather guild. They cast an aura of negativity in a server, and we are better without them. We lost our biggest guild (ANV) because they were tired of losing. Since then, we are even better as a server.

Don’t give up!

As native Yak’s Bender I share you thoughts and wish you good luck in next mach up. I’ve been on both sides of a coin and it’s no fun. SoR kittened as over last week, and kicked us from our tier. Scumbags going to jump again and we’ll end up on lower tier week from now. Hopefully where we belong.

I know it’s boring. Don’t give up.

I came to Gates of Madness looking for a server to stick with and even though we have been lolroflstomped these last two weeks I will not leave.

Better get used to it Yaks/SF. I finally figured out how to get stupid amounts of Siege weapons for free so I definitely plan to use them.
