Why did you have to kill me in the EB Jumping Puzzle? I was doing nothing to you, and just trying to get away. Did it make you feel good to kill someone not fighting back?

sorry for what happened to you mate, but still, it’s a PvP area, I feel your pain, but I think you will realize soon that there’s no real point in posting what happened to you here.

Yeah. I don’t really expect anyone to really care. There’s just always been a certain level of toxicity when it comes to PVP and griefing comes with the territory. I just wonder about the kind of people who enjoy spending time having one sided battles.

Two guys from Blackgate now just camping at the arena part of the puzzle. So…that’s great of them.

People just like role playing villains in this game at times. Im guilty as charged and its mainly caused by boredom and looking for something amusing…

I remember playing on my thief I found this squishy ele I could one shot down him, i let him on downed state and kept poking him whenever he tried to heal, keeping distance so he coudnt hit me or mobs… doing that over and over for about 8 minutes till someone came over and tried to res him.

I stealthed stomp him at 99% health.

OP, there is a 99,99% chance that the thief who killed you will not read this thread. Get used to being killed by a thief, especially in a JP.

Probably not. It wouldn’t be so bad if I had a change of fighting back and winning, but when you don’t really practice 1v1s and don’t have all the zerker gear and ascended equipment and scholar runes….there’s really just no contest.

(Maybe someday I’ll actually get a WvW set of gear that’s for the explicit purpose of killing anyone who decides to fight me while I try to do my jumping puzzles.)

I know the thief. I’ll make sure to tell him about the thread so he can add another “pvp in a pvp zone” qq post to his resume.

Seriously though, if you don’t practice pvp, or you aren’t geared up for wvw, don’t expect to find success on wvw maps. Would you go into Orr with level 60 gear and then complain when you died? Would you go into tpvp without practicing and then complain when you lost?

The awful (and beautiful) truth of wvw is that the fights are almost always unfair. Use that to your advantage and bring some friends. Alternatively, if you’re a true pacifist, just come back when the puzzle is empty.

There’s no need to slander and make a scene over it.

Technically, it’s libel.

And I actually didn’t lie about anything. You killed me, I didn’t fight back.

That’s fine, I know I’m not the only one that gets killed in the jumping puzzle. Though, I do kind of wish there would be a bit of common courtesy when in the jumping puzzle if someone doesn’t fight you, you don’t fight them.

Oh, and I did just get it done. So much easier when no one is around.

There was a guild on GoM that started up called “The Obsidium Task Force”

About 8 people at the top of the arena shooting people down to a rally state, then releasing the mobs to kill em.

Very thankful I was on the watching end of it…

Why would you enter a PVP zone if you didn’t want to PVP?

Expect fighting in the JP as the norm, not the exception.

I enjoy camping the JP (near the entrance) and it has nothing to do with griefing. Just a way to get lots of PvP action in a PvP zone. Since everyone has to pass the same way.

the eternal battlegrounds jumping puzzle is designed for griefing and nonsense, what with the boulder traps, spike traps, vicious monster traps, blind turns, narrow walkways, fire traps, other spike traps, and so on and so forth.

i mean… xD
