Clearly the golem rush event is a way to get players to unload their relatively useless currency known as Badges of Honor.

I’m just going to purge these useless badges into this useless week.

Badges are not really useless, and spending 100 to try out the fun, seems like a good idea. I never really wanted to buy a golem before, but now I do, I can’t wait.

It would be fun if this was a sink and then they introduced a use afterwards.

They are a nice and cheap way to get any armor stats you want to test out with your character, so I will definitly keep mine.

They prob will, but I used them anyway, crafted 150+ Omegas, sold them for between 4.20g and 5.50g, I don’t think we will ever see them at 5.50g again so now is the time to unload.

Badges are anything but useless, keeps me in traps, siege and gear. Give me more

They are a nice and cheap way to get any armor stats you want to test out with your character, so I will definitly keep mine.

You cannot salvage the WvW armor so watch what runes you put in.

I still have a full WvW set with Traveler runes sitting around, refusing to throw it away…there’s still hope i might be able to get some out without having to pay way too much gems one day.

I’ve never had more than 5k badges… Siege too expensive

Even if they do add something cool for badges after the event, that doesn’t change the fact that Omegas spiked to 5.50g + which made badges worth a lot of gold, no matter what they add in the future it wont be as valuable as that Omega spike. If they spike again during the event I suggest you spend all your badges and make some good gold, and if they do add something in the future just grind some more badges.

P.s 80k badges converted to omegas that sold like hot cakes, no regrets.

And what if they would remove badges ? After all, they will remove the cost of the upgrades, and thus they’ll need another gold sink.

I don’t think that badges are useless, but I would like to be able to buy gear with more stat combos. The hoops you have to jump through to get certain stat combos for exotic gear is just ridiculous (looking at you, Zealot’s)
