guard leach= 100 condition damage and 100 power
applied fortitude= 250 vitality
guild buffs= 40 precision, 40 power, 40 vitality, 40 toughness, 10% more health, 10% more healing
blood lust sigil = 250 power
Superior Borderlands bloodlust = 60 power, 60 precision, 60 vitality, 60 toughness, 60 condition damage, and 60 healing power

grand total of max additional stats in wvw that these can give 1,300 stat points + 10% more health and 10% more healing power.
a full set of ascended accessories only provides 1322 stat points.

Of course it is way too much. WvWvW is still suffering from serious power creep. Count in the consumables as well.

Many people forget the Power of the Mists, which has been in the game since launch, giving up to +10% increase to vitality and healing power (that can alone be massive couple hundred points more).

This is skewing the match ups and I really do not see that any of them add “fun” to this game. Game should be fun for all sides, not just the winning side with superior coverage. Even match ups are most fun and interesting. Thus all of the above should be just removed.

The WvWvW development priorities have been and totally skewed. We do not added siege traits or new stat buffs on top of the existing ones. We need:
1) better UI (for commanders, e.g. different colored tags, guild only tag etc. also ability to kick party members)
2) better match making and scoring (taking into consideration population/coverage differences and an outnumbered buff, which actually does something)
3) less lag (optimizing server code, more server capacity, more maps, slightly reducing players per map, offering less incentives for blobbing/zerging as this is known to lead to the worst lag)

I do think it’s a little problematic, but not excessively.

First off, Guild buffs are available to everyone and any increase in offense should hopefully be counter-balanced by an equal amount of defense.

Same applies to Bloodlust Sigils. The stacking makes this also less of an issue since most people aren’t running around fully stacked at all time.

The Borderlands Bloodlust shouldn’t really provide any stat-boost at all. The buff is good enough without the stats and I’m not sure why ANet insists on maintaining it. On the other hand, this too is accessible to all.

Guard Leech and Applied Fortitude are the only real power-creeps and seem to reward those who are already pretty hardcore. Then again, maybe that’s the point.

I agree that there are too many stat-buffs involved in WvW but it’s only problematic when you compare the most extreme scenarios. In 95% of cases different players will have various different bonuses at any given time.

The example given is pretty ridiculous thats a 100% ideal situation inside of a keep. No it’s not too much, coordinated teamplay trumps stats in this game.

no I was just stating the most unbalanced situation with it possible, someone with max buffs and BiS gear vs. someone with no buffs but BiS gear is somewhere between 30-50% more stat points (don’t have the numbers for armor or runes close to me atm)

Depends on the buff, really.

I like the guild one, it lets you claim some home territory and show your pride.

The WXP ones are too much grind (I got them but.. now I’m actively avoiding playing alts).

Sigil buffs I would be happy if they removed. I got them on multiple weapons it’s just an annoying mechanic. It like doesn’t add fun, doesn’t make fights interesting since it’s passive (like say the chill one does or energy), and very annoying to have to keep reopening my inventory for this.

I like that bloodlust is smaller than before.

Curious how many people have BiS gear? Just going under the assumption that everyone has BiS gear and are hardcore wvwers is flawed. If you want balance go to Spvp. WvW is were you get to show off you gear. Still a organized group > pug group even if you are outnumbered by the pug group.

Matchmaking is fine. The servers with a large wvw population and coverage are higher ranked. The random match-up before leagues was interesting. It showed why some servers are higher ranked than others and allow servers to move up tiers easier.
