I think it’ll be an interesting idea if you can no longer enter a keep/tower portal if you are in combat. This means that if you go outside to poke someone, you can’t just run back into safety, you have to commit. Likewise with zergs, if the commander decides to push, he has to commit as there is no safety net of running back inside a tower/keep for safety.

I know there are some downsides to this but it can make for some interesting tactics.

What do you guys think??

No, your at a disadvantage as it is defending so making it even harder to defend is the wrong way to go.

Instead make a secret entrence so defenders can get in defend a building.

Tons of ways to prevent people to go through, think about line of wardings/static fields and immobilize.

Yeah well in vapour form guardian lines shouldnt be able to stop you either but they do now and again, so….

Which reminds me, Guardians shouldn’t be able to Banish downed players, nor any other Launch for that matter.

I wonder what the big gates are for? Why not just make it wall if everybody is going to use the portal anyway?

Nobody at Anet loves WvW like Grouch loved PvP. That’s what we need, a WvW Grouch, but taller.

Whoa let’s not get crazy, now you’re just asking for lawls to be nerfed. How are we suppose to play a friendly game of soccer if we can’t boot your corpse all over the place.

Immobilize the Ele before he/she Vapor Forms → problem solved.

No, defending is already enough of a bother, not to mention the classes that are most likely to slip into a tower are also the ones that can best avoid combat.

The scenario is also unrealistic because it makes the assumption the defenders are already in the tower A lot of times the defending force has to get in the tower to begin with.

This also encourages the use of groups of SA thieves just keeping people in combat and running around so they can’t enter doors.

This also makes it a lot worse for already outnumbered people that are spread out. Not that anyone ever cared, but yea.

You all are going to hate revenants then.

They have a skill that allows them to jump from the top of keep walls, then teleport into the blob, do damage, and then back safely onto the wall again.

LOL @ do damage. What you meant to say it jump from the keep, port into the zerg, tickle someone causing almost no damage and being completely ineffective, and then back to the safety of the wall.

I cannot support any suggest that goes against defending real estate in WvW. This is a horrible idea. We should be offering suggestions to support the concept of defending real estate, not bad ideas to punish players for defending.
