Well lets sumarize what happened today, but first one big note

- in WvW you wont make gold, WvW is more like a gold sink

So now:
1) master traits unlocked in various areas in world – this handicap WvW players as most of us dont have much map completation, if wvw player starts new alt for some reasons, he probably know the game, he also may have 100% map completation on his main, but he will be forced to play PvE and now WvW to discover these traits
2) master traits unlocked via gold at trainer- right now we dont know the cost, but it will not be cheap, otherwise there will be no point going to discover traits in pve. With previous note, it will just take more money from wvw players.
Yes you can earn some gold in WvW, but its nothing compared to gold earned in same time in pve.

conclusion: Anet change either upgrading system to not cost gold, or give wvw players more gold IN WVW.

They didn’t actually specify what currency will be used, but I’d guess it’s either gold or skill points. Perhaps the WvW skill trainer will accept badges.

It wont kill me thats true, but why? Its like spending few hours every day in pve zerg wont kill you so you can afford to pay upgrades.

One thing wont kill you, all together are really discouraging to some type of players.

One thing wont kill you, all together are really discouraging to some type of players.

The difference is a few hours EVERY day to get gold for upgrades(or an hour in FGS once a week will probably set you up for the week if you’re not making it in WvW) or a few hours ONCE for the traits. Pretty big difference there.
