A bunch of the big guilds on Desolation decided to jump ship & join the winning server (Blacktide EU), and now it’s gonna be like this every week:

I think it’s a shame that people these days don’t have the honor/sportsmanship to stick with their team even when they’re losing.

I really can’t imagine why anyone would find this enjoyable, just transferring to the winning server every week

Because people from VS transfering to AS and ppl from AS transfering to VS and basicaly this is going on between all FR,DE and international servers including NA servers and noone rly care about it. If guild from T5 server move to T4 server noone will even notice it. But it become a big deal when ppl move from Deso to BT.

Lol, I dunno what they (guild) think about it. They will not get WvW status reward for at least 2 weeks (well if bugged it may be more), their guild will not become superstar.

But maybe there are something wrong in your server: WvW drama, lot of complaint, broken alliance, etc.

Server jumping to ‘win’ have been the meta-game for this game since day one.
Just now somebody else is seeing the consequences other servers had to live with for a long time.

all 3 servers per tier transfer to 1 server so

- all 3 are winners and noone lose^^
- all can go sleep at night
- nothing need upgrades so noone have to pay for it
- culling fixed^^
who find more pros?^^

A bunch of big guilds on Deso… you make me laugh so hard. Afaik only Ruin (Ruin Gaming, Ruinous) transfered to BT. Iron and their alliance guilds still represent Desolation.

This guild (Ruin) has been known to transfer server from server since beginning of the game released. At least 2 servers have broken because of them. You can see: NSP (at release when WvW still day based, although they now become better) and ET (waiting to go to tier 7 or 8 ). I hope Deso not become their victim.

Last time I checked, Guild Wars 2 was a video game, something people play for Fun
As far as honor and sportmanship to stick with their team goes, Ruin showed exactly that, by staying with Ruin and transferring.

Some people complained about Ruin joining Desolation, now some people complain about them leaving Desolation, in all honesty, the only thing this has made clear to everyone, is that no matter what happens, some people will complain.

I’m guessing they honestly do not give a hoot what others think of them. From what I can see those who do quickly leave this amazing organization. There really isn’t a point calling RUIN out. They gotta do what they gotta do. Hint – it’s in the name!

Yep I couldn’t agree more. It’s sad that ppl and guilds with no skills have to switch to the winning server. I remember a guild who moved to an EU server (Desolation) saying all the time that if they win it’s because they’re good. They stated that Arborstone and Vizunah Square can’t beat them together. They even said night capping wasn’t the reason they win. Look, now they’re on Blacktide… We all laugh at them now.

I wish Anet makes server transfers payable ASAP.

This is same situation with the bottom tier EU servers. A few weeks ago it was FoW v RoS v Vabbi with Vabbi having more people than both RoS and FoW together! but since RoS has been doing better in WvW it seems a massive population of people jumped ship from Vabbi to join RoS. (only the hardcore players stay in FoW and never jump server even if we are bottom. the saying goes "the official colour for FoW is red! lol

This kind of stupidness is causing instability on the lower population servers at an extreme level. Something needs to be done about it. Hell, just server merge the low population servers together would be a better solution. At least this way a high population server is balanced off with WvW queuing. Low population servers just get steam rolled. (15 vs 50 everyday is an uphill struggle, but we will never surrender!!! Go FoW!!!)
