The reason I ask is this could really be exploited this weekend. And also this could really screw up the matches if there are a lot of trial accounts in WvW all weekend.

How would it be exploited, exactly?

Worst case is someone uses a trial account to go spy and/or siege grief.. but that already happens anyway.

Unless they have more than 1 computer in their house.

Edit: I have 3 computers at home. It would not be hard if I had no life to jump on and make 2 trial accounts and leave 2 players sitting at spawn in a BL. It would not take all that many ppl doing this to really creat havoc for a BL/EB

We’ll see. I am not real sure many ppl will waste their time with this but I have been surprised before by the level ppl will stoop to and the sheer numbers that will do it.

I agree, I don’t think NEW players will effect WvW much. Most of WvW has queues during the weekend and I would guess most of them wouldn’t bother waiting. Plus I figure at best they get to around level 20, I don’t see WvW being that fun for a inexperienced level 20.

EDIT: At least in T1 and probably T2 I can’t speak for the lower tiers.

I admit that comment was pretty funny. Are your friends saying “Oh yeah? Free WXP? Come at me bros. Do you even lift?” ?

It will be interesting. I foresee team chat and map chat being inundated with questions such as: “where is everyone?”, “how do you score points?”, “what’s that blue icon thingy?”, “what’s the point of this game?”, “why are you yelling?”

This is both hilarious and disturbing…

So, if you play WvW in PST and thought you’d be stuck in queue for a few hours guess what – you’ll have an extra few hundred new friends in queue with you.

Though I don’t how you’d avoid this if you want trial keys to experience the whole gamut of GW2. Of course, I don’t think a weekend is enough to get a good impression of WvW. Maybe in the lower tiers there is enough “room” on the map for up-leveled characters to run around. In the upper tiers, you rarely see loners, and commanders aren’t happy to see up-leveled guys run with them due to the rallying mechanic. (zerg v zerg fight, your team is starting to pull ahead and then a lowbie gets killed, rallying 20 guys… >.<)

Maybe ANet should have put together a trial key WvW server…

To anyone who has friends joining and will most likely be up leveled in WvW::

Gear stats scale as though you were wearing level 80 gear, so if you deck your level 20 Warrior friend out in full level 20 Blue Vitality gear they will have well over 30k hp^^.

Its very important for uplevel’s to wear gear as close to their level as possible to get the most out of the stats on the gear^^. Also white/blu/green low level gear is extremely inexpensive on the TP, sos easy to change out as you level up

If you wear level inappropriate gear, “you’re gonna have a baad time.” ^.~!
