Hey guys, quick question. Having unlocked all of the triumphant variations in what feels like a year ago now I’m wondering when the hero versions will be available and how to get them. The Wiki simply states “unavailable” and I can’t find any info anywhere. I notice in the screens for the lunar event beginning today that the hero sets are worn by the characters displaying the new dye packs. Anyone shed any light on this?

They were supposed to be rewards for a tournament I think. But I wouldnt hold my breath on that happening. At this point, i’m hoping that maybe it will just be used for the design for wvw legendary armor. As for the screen showing the armor, that’s just Anet trolling us.

There was no plans to have more tournaments and haven’t been for a very long time because populations would normally get smaller after a tournament had finished. As far as the upgraded version of the armour goes, not a clue, there’s been no news on it.

If I had to make an educated guess (and this is a guess) it would be added when they figure out what they’re doing to allow people to get the mistforged hero weapons. It would make sense to link it to a gift of heroes for upgrading.

PvP got a legendary backpiece, exclusive ascended armor sets, and currently +200% magic find for some reason. WvW gets… a couple poorly thought-out surveys, worse balance than ever before, and a screwed up scoring system. Yay?
