Trying to teleport across BROKEN walls
That issue has been in the game since the very beginning.
There was a time about 2 years back when ANet was asking players to report exact locations where pathing didn’t work as expected. That effort died out soon with not much results. Few places were changed to un-teleportable. Now some of these fixes are undone again.
For example in ABL hills mesmers can Blink from south gate stairs up to the edge near the supply depot above. But only if the keep has upgraded walls.
For example the ABL south-west supply camp wall was made un-Blinkable but now mesmers can Blink onto the wall again.
The issue was addressed, but it was never solved properly. Pathing algorithms are difficult.

Have you ever tried to blink on bridges? There are a lot of broken paths for blink/shadowsteps in this game… The “No valid path to target” even become a joke used by some people on gw2 parodies.

Yep this is annoying me too especially when you need to blink through a Zerg training through the gap.
Also as for bridges, a general rule of thumb is that you can blink onto stone bridges but not wood. Don’t know about iron bridges as its not often I have had to blink on them as we don’t often have them and the enemy servers tend to spike keeps at that point so I’m not usually there.
As a necro I want my flesh wurm to be treated better by anet. I will call PETA soon if necromancers do not get the same treatment as the glitter eles and skinny jean wearing thiefs.
