Q:
Two Random Questions
1) Monetary rewards may be better – you get more loot on a faster basis because, generally, you’ll be having zerg vs zerg fights. Additionally, larger groups generally flip towers and capture points faster due to having access to more supply – which, in turn, makes for more seige placement.
However, some people prefer and enjoy small-scale combat a lot more. Hence overall personal reward and enjoyment doesn’t necessarily correlate directly to the amount of players you’re with.
2) The deep red is simply achieved by typing /team or /t. The light red is the standard /map or /m. Either chat is accepted in WvW, but only /m in open world PvE.

I think what OP is asking is – does joining a party in a zerg increase loot/xp gains as opposed to running with a zerg and not joining a party.

Inclined to agree. As for an answer, joining a party makes it easier to tag champion npcs and enemies players by allowing you to pool your damage together towards the loot/xp tagging requirements.
If you are alone and finding you aren’t getting credit for kills you should attempt to join or form a party.

Yes I was asking while in a zerg should I be grouped.
Also…it was mentioned the deep red is team chat, which I have noticed…but some players have this deep red even while I am solo. I just now joined EOTM and snapped a screen showing what I meant (I am solo and the “team” chat is showing up).
Edit: I think I just realized I am kittened. A “team” is made while in WvW I presume? I thought it was only for sPvP. Doh.

In WvW, team and map chat are the same, the only difference is color.
Simple answer from my own experience:
If you run zerker, you don’t need to party, you do more than enough damage to get rewards, but it’s contingent on staying alive. If your karma training this shouldn’t be difficult
If you run hybrid or tanky, better to party up or you’ll be left out in the dark. Be as it may, it seems contingent on damage. I’d much rather it be contingent on whether you tag a lord or mob or not.
