Greetings,

There has been allot of rumors about our guild and our state in Jade Quarry and it is confirmed that we are moving over to Dragonbrand. The reason being why i’m making this public post is to commemorate and truly thank all those guilds we had the pleasure of playing alongside with, being AoS/Fire/HzH/Foo/OMEN/Prx/SF/PvP/bpa ( to name a few).

Jade Quarry is very prominent WvW server and great for any prospecting guilds, actually being a strong benefactor on why we have grown so successfully. We apologize if this sudden move created any unneeded controversy or false accusations.

We didn’t leave in spite of threat, or to pull/bribe guilds. Our main intent, the leadership, was to let those guilds we worked close with about the reasons forgoing our departure from the server and why. However, unfortunately we didn’t have the chance to speak with every one of our main guilds before the changes started occurring which may have created needless bad blood.

We had such a fantastic time with JQ and i highly recommend considering this server if you or your guild is looking for new prospects but for the WvW core of EMP, our interests have gravitated to newer opportunities across the horizons with WvW servers in the makings for our own self gain, not to pull other guilds with us.

With that stated, the former members of EMP that will be joining us in Dragonbrand will now be known as [RE] -Red Essence and [NS] – Nightshift , our competitive havoc/gank core. EMP will still be operational among JQ as well

If you have any questions or concerns please mail me or any of the guild leaders of RE “its tiger, legendary lee” and the leader of EMP “oxygg”.

We hope we have our former server’s blessings and are excited to pursue new rivals and allies! Who knows, we might end up in the same match-up.

Not sure why this has been going on one week in.

EMP and RE are two separate entities while in agreeable terms. A statement was out to simply address the divide.

We have our reasons why we left and I made it very well clear of our respects on this thread. However, im dissapointed at the obscene amount of needless slander , attacks and details, true or untrue, not relevant to the intentions of this posting.

Oxygg is the leader of EMP for those that agreed to stay. RE brought 100 core WvW members to DB in pursuit of new challenges. Case and point, not sure why you must ensue your leadership here publicly when it lacked so many times in the past when we needed your help as leaders. You run EMP fully, great, I am proud that you finally took some initiative (for once) and i’m glad you are doing your best and you have my regards and those with it. However, there is no need to keep opening wounds, as you say your a man of no drama stature. So to speak.

Lets all be the better poster and just disclose this debate. Its beating a dead horse at this point.

Need a moderator to please close this thread. Things are getting out of hand.

I’d be lying if I said I was sad to see this. However, I can understand wanting to move to another server where the queues are much shorter/non-existant and where you can experience less lopsided fights between servers (and heck, maybe even lose once in a while!).

So, why do you want to unbalance tier 3? It was already bad.

I think its healthy for WVW that not a single server is stacked to a point where there is no viable competition that can beat said server; think professional sports. I think WVW would be much more exciting and dare I say more rewarding if all servers had a shot at making it to T1. As a member of SoR from day one, I know what its like to go up and down the tiers, and I know that you don’t have to be in Tier 1 to have a rewarding and competitive matchup. Regardless, I would like to see closer matches and more movement up and down the tiers.

Just my two cents… ok, maybe three cents.

Some NA transfers would really help us turn into a solid coverage T2 server.
Can’t say I’m complaining.

i don’t really mind it. any server would be glad to migrate a large guild in. they will leave tier 3…or should…and will be replaced by the exact same people only, with a slightly different name plate. doesn’t really matter. their all potential loot bags to me anyways

Going to miss brawling you guys. Our fights were always back and forth, certainly some of the more enjoyable ones Ive had in T1.

I cant fault anyone from wanting to move away from skill lag, have certainly considered moving myself before.

Goodbye EMP. From a choo member to an EMP member, it was great fighting you guys the few times we got paired.

The thing about whenever a t1 guild transfers for a challenge or whatever, is they always pick a server that is already primed to move up without them, and already has coverage opposite of their play times.

Overall i think what EMP and Rawnoodles is doing is very noble, the current state of WvW is unhealthy and de-stacking the tier 1 servers and distributing the populations towards tier 3-4-5 servers will help. Having 6 competitive tier 1 servers is alot better than 2.

back during release on some BL’s on JQ there would be a 4-6 hour que per map. yea it was not fun.

Now there is hardly ever over an hour que at all even for eb. Ive been on JQ since release and saw EMP rise from ashes as the grew to where they are today. They have some good members and look forward to fighting them in the future.

Maguuma and Yak’s Bend are very weak servers compared to DB. I suppose you would be trying to push DB to T2 status then and then maybe T1 status.

While you were on JQ, I’ve seen you post recruitment messages for specific timeslots/timezones (and excluding others), so I guess you’ve grown bored of JQ dominance and now the challenge seems to be pushing another server to T1 (with your help). DB does seem like an ideal fit. They have some Taiwanese guilds (like JQ) but they don’t have as much NA which I suppose you would be adding. Anyway, there’s no need for you to share your “master plan” with everyone. People will speculate here and there. DB didn’t bribe you did they? LOL. Well, even if they did, no big deal. JQ could use some change.

To people that just read mos and like to play armchair commander, yes, DB dominates. They have insane coverage during Mag/yaks off hours and it leads to a very inflated score. This game is coverage, nothing more.

I hope DB enjoys t2. They have some fun guilds like [TG] that we’ll miss fighting against. Hopefully Kaineng will match up similarly in NA coverage so t3 doesn’t become another terrible slog. This transfer (and ones that will follow) really does make me sad to be losing a balanced match.

I’m sorry, but I play WvW for the PvP part. I guess if you care about scores, then yes, DB dominated. In the PvP part of this game, it was balanced for the 8 hours of the day that yaks/mag were playing.

Thank goodness that the world of t1/t2 will have another number that is similar to current numbers. If the numbers are not similar, then who knows what could happen.

My gripe for now is, now I understand why you were just asking any non EMP off of JQBL the other night Noodles. I SO wanted to plant you in the ground myself when you said that in chat. Though if you would have stated “WHY”, I would have happily logged right out for you.

Good on you for seeing past tier 1 and even dropping as far as tier 3 to find a place for your guild to grow (although no doubt your sights are set on tier 2, and almost certainly not on tier 1 even in the long run)!

I don’t understand the talk of “long queues”. The only time I’ve EVER experience a queue is during reset night. But even then, I logged on at 2:30 AM EST 4/20, EARLY EARLY Saturday morning, and no queue. I don’t experience one during NA Primetime the day after reset either.

But seriously, if you ask me I think EMP just wanted to run away while JQ was at its prime, just like PRX, so whatever.

(BTW, JQ Q’s arent very long when there any, it’s like 5 minutes max at any point in time other than reset night on specific maps)

Going to miss you Noodles and gang. You did an awful lot for JQ over the many months since those initial days as ESOL. Brought some great organisation and leadership across multiple maps and timezones.
