We all know the tactical difference of the 3 colors in EB in Defending/Recapping with Trebs.
Green can very nice reach the own area of towers with save trebs in the keep.
Red can reach the own area too, without save treb to mendons, but reach Stonemist aswell.
Blue can only hit 2 Towers and not SM aswell from the Keep.
Lucky Servers:
SFR, Abaddon and Dzagonur playing all seven matchups green
Kodash, Underworld and Vabbi playing 6 time red, one green.
Riverside, Aurora and Blacktide playing 5 time green, one red, only one blue.
Unlucky:
Elona, Gunners and R.o.Surmia playing 6 week on poor blue and one week red.
Its complete unfair that servers play most time the good colors in difference of other servers who play most time on the tactical worst color.
It would be fair if all servers have two matchups on each color and the 3rd of random.
So please reconsider the following matchups for the season.
And whats the opinion of the rest of the community?

yeah green is probably the best color… i am surpised how some servers got green for almost entire season

The colour you have to play is more important you think on Eternals.

In NA Silver and Bronze League is the same like EU.
NA Gold Leagua:
Maguuma all seven matches red, Jade Quarry all seven on green.
Blackgate five weeks on blue, Sea of Sorrow six on blue.
Tactical complete unfair the difference of those servers.

Who cares about “good colors” or “bad colors”, HoD never gets to be red during the 7 weeks season. We are either blue or green the entire time. Something is out of whack on their match-up system.
None of the league brackets were thought through very well. Ah well, maybe they’ll do so with Season 2 next year.

SF is almost always blue. But we are used to blue since we were that color for like 4 weeks straight before

the last thing you want from wvw is it to become an esport. Double teaming is going to happen but right now there is no reason to attack the leader. Its “easier” to pick on the weaker servers because its easier karma/wxp/loot.
the forums are full of suggestions to correct that problem its just a matter if “fixing it” is on the radar of Anet. I really hope it is because at this time this game has some of the most enjoyable combat and classes in the genre and a few minor changes could go very far.
Yea Was looking at this the other day 2 and thought it was odd. I dont know WHY they change all of the sudden i think colors should still be given according to how you placed in last weeks game If 2 are on the same spot random it or give the better slot to team that lost more.
I agree as well. It’s also quite hard to get map completion when we keep getting the same color every week
I’m almost 100% positive the Anet WvW team has no clue about different keeps being advantageous in Eternal.
Sorry to break the bubble : but the whole league is a joke if it comes to fair stuff. Some servers fight each other 3 times , other only 2 times. It has no sense at all.
The only and only reason anet started with this league system is to get some cash from players transfering to t1 servers , if you think they care about sportmanship plz go see a doctor
edit : look at the bloodlust , it only promote stacked servers with alot of players to get even stronger.

Yeah, we know about this. We’re currently more concerned about the cushy schedules that the Top server in each League seems to have been given, for whatever reason. We’ll get around to complaining about server colors once they’ve fixed that.
I wouldn’t say that green is lucky considering a certain exploit that can result in half of their corner being taken by malicious roamers.
Well blue also has a certain exploit that makes capping one of the tower easy as hell.
So Blue is still the worse.
I agree. I made another thread and I also posted 1 post in another thread. But people don’t care. In some thread about schedule a Dev said they would not change anything while the season is running but take feedback for the next season.
I wished they could at least change the colors since this does not change which servers are playing against each other… only colors.
For weak servers like UW it will be hard to get the JP achievement if we have to go to enemy BL(cause we never have it as home BL) and we have no people there we barely can get a few at our home BL(and then 1 vs. all the enemy AP farmers at their JP). I did it at night. Still possible. (Or if you got guilds and bigger groups to go there just do to this).
But still it is boring… I don’t care about the EB advantage. I think it is boring – especially if you stay only in 1 part of the map(most of the time during primetime cause you defend and maybe attack SM or 1 or 2 enemy towers if you aren’t overwhelmingly strong to take their keep then).
It is easy, make 3 EB maps and each server gets a different WP in each map (as frontiers).
Kill two birds with one stone:
- No differences in geographic options.
- Less queues, more population involved.
- More possibilities to get a Castle.

Actually, how the colors are determined does make sense. They’re based on final server ranking before the Season started. So using gold league for example, in a match between server ranks 2, 4 and 6, 2 is green, 4 is blue and 6 is red.
They should not have chosen to do it this way however. It would have been better if there was some kind if rotation, or maybe even a random draw.

Yes, I know that.
My point about them not making sense is that the WvW season was supposed to be a ‘fresh start’ to WvW in that no server would have an advantage over another server based on its history. The fact that GoM won’t be green for the entire season puts us at a disadvantage.
