This was originally someone elses idea, but it never got much attention, and it has been rolling around my head ever since.

K, so I think this is a great idea to break up zergs. With multiple, mid range realm point worthy capture points in each map, would give small teams and roamers rewards and action fit to what I think would be reasonable and enjoyable for me as a roamer.

Essentially they would just be capture points, ranging from the size of a sentry cap to circle to that of a camp, placed around the maps, hopefully in places within reasonable reach of all servers.
Each one would be on the map, so players can see which team is guarding, if anyone, each point.
The capture of a point would be just like any other cap, but, if no one from your team is in the circle, you start loosing the circle, and the event timer stops.
Once a team caps the circle, they get a 10 minute event, where if they successfully hold the point, they earn the server 10 realm points, plus a small standard event award.
The main reason for this, is so that you won’t have people commin through right at the tick, and holding each one, then running off again.

Some ideas where to put these points;
Borderlands
South east of garrison, by east sentry on the plateau
Where the minotaurs roam (west of garrison)
The raised area in the ruins.
The Center Quaggan island should double as one of these.
The plateau just north of Hills, or the tip of the cliff, south of n/e camp.

Eternal might be harder to get some places for this, it’s pretty tight but;
Around the grub area
The two plateaus/cliffs by Klovan could each have one
The Plateau by Anza, and the open area behind it and the dredge.

I don’t have much else thought out about it, and would like input, if its a good idea or not, exploit prevention, any other ideas at all.

TLDR; King of the hill style cap points in wvw maps to break up combat, reduce zerginess
