Since the “Competitive Feature Pack” came out, the queues have gone through the roof. If these queues continues, the whole point of “linked worlds” will be gone.

So I suggest that on the next relink, Anet should unlink (at least the top) servers and bring back 1 or 2 tiers.

Relax, once the initial hype dies down WvW will return to what it was before the patch. Rewards got buffed but not crazy enough to keep the PvE players interested for very long.

Relax, once the initial hype dies down WvW will return to what it was before the patch. Rewards got buffed but not crazy enough to keep the PvE players interested for very long.

This. All maps were queued in T4 last night, but not so much so people couldn’t get in. That’s day 1 of new content. Day 14 will be a better test.

Spvp stuff this month will draw people’s attention there.

I said “if these queues continues”. If not, then everything is fine. I’m from EU btw, and FSP have 30+ queues on all borders at 3 pm.

I think we may see some movement in world populations, but this will not be a long term balance solution. There is a huge grind on rewards and only those who end up enjoying the game mode like we do will stick around. De-linking the servers would be a mistake.

Relax, when PvE people realize they have to play WvW non-stop for more than 2 years to get the ranks they need for the fancy stuff, they’ll curse and get back to Raids.

In any case, World/Team chat on WvW has reached maximum ‘Toxicity’ level.

The most damaged people are on lower tier servers which was always “Outnumbered”, but now they are not. That means their WvW players still lose but now they don’t get Outnumbered bonuses due to a thousand walking bags wandering around giving their enemies more rallies and free bags. They don’t stick to commander, they don’t care about comms, they don’t read chat, they deliver your position and do every stupid thing to ruin your server even more; as if lower tier servers weren’t ruined already losing forever.

In any case, this hype caos might die in a month and things go back to normal.

its a fine balance i do believe the PVE guys will leave quite quickly due to the crazy grind needed. However, bear in mind ANET caters primarily to PVE players and having Queues is not necessarily a bad thing (i’d be happy if all maps were queued to average 15-25 during primetime.)

So i suspect that ANET will relent and reduce the rank/grind requirements somewhat.

Every tier is having the “Night of the Walking Bags” problem. Those T1 zergs are filled with “bags” mixed in rather than just hardcore players. That said, it is the way the game is supposed to be… we want new blood to replace players aging out of the game. We want old timers coming back that are rusty.

The “I was here first” or “They aren’t good enough” attitudes is a sure fire way to kill a game quickly. Teach those young’uns how to play and some of them will stick around to gripe about the next wave of “newb” players.

In T4, for my server, there was never a queue that prevented people from getting onto some map last night. Typically this was green Borderlands because they were too much on the offensive last night to attack them. While there were queues in the 30s for the other maps, it fluctuated. If you want to play wvw you could.

In a week, this will translate to other servers.

You are lucky since in my server and other higher ranked servers 2hours wait period is normal now. They are basi ally saying" dont play till farmers get their stuff" wich translates to wvw beimg left even more empty after all the hype is gone.

1. ANet will likely lessen the 2 years non-stop requirement. Maybe add a title for the vets to add to the armor acquisition/weapon acquisition. It’s no different with the original WvW title requirements when that also was pointed out to them.

2. There is no other NEW PVE content right now (besides running the recent living story maps which takes at most 45 minutes to run your optimal cycle). We will have a content dry spell for another 2 months (sPvPs is dead) so this queue issue isn’t going away anytime soon. see number 3 below

3. Just getting the legendary backpiece takes roughly the dry spell time depending on how many tickets you save from tournaments…coincidence?
