I’ve been playing this game for about a month, and have spent a lot of that time in WvW. My first couple of Wvw match ups were absolutely fine, everything was (almost) completely responsive, even in the zerg battles, which I thoguht was pretty impressive considering I’m from New Zealand. However, on the latest changeover, I’ve found I literally can’t partake in WvW at all. If I come across more than 5 players from Magumma bay, I lag out, and can’t activate any skills. the lag is so bad that I can’t even respawn until the Maguma players have cleared out of my location. It is by far the worst lag I’ve experienced in any game.

So, I’m wondering if today specifically, WvW has been having server issues, or whether this is a common problem against certain servers. I’d also like to know why this occurs, and if there’s any way to fix it. I would be thoroughly disappointed if I learnt that I can’t participate in WvW for the next two weeks, as WvW is the reason I bought the game.

It’s obviously Maguuma’s lag hax.

It’s been bad these last two weeks. I think they are doing some infrastructure work behind the scenes to prepare for the removal of culling.

But i’ve had literally no issues until this afternoon, where it’s so bad that if I see more than 5 players I can’t activate a skill

I can tell you since the last patch that EB has been terrible, and tonight JQ BL was horrible lag. It’s not just the Culling, its the Skill LAG. It makes fighting so frustrating that for the first time in a long time, I just wanted to leave. I can’t stand Skill Lag. Culling I will deal with but not Skill Lag. Anet needs to fix this with the next update soon.

Also, Guesting has made some of the world boss fights, and temple fights have ridiculous lag to the point I can barely auto attack a dragon.

Something has definitely changed server side it seems to me. Currently when I get near the main enemy zerg, all my skills have clear delay. Only seems to be enemy though, maybe because I run into them the most.

I have only experienced this infrequently, and when I have it’s usually in the Lords Room when there are a lot of players involved. But it is an issue. Culling is an issue as well, of course. They way I see it, lag and culling are the worst issues this game faces right now. Here’s hoping they fix it soon.

Yup, getting absurd skill lag as of late. Looking through old videos I recorded, I really wonder if I’m playing the same game.

Yep, this is unacceptable at Anet side and they must fix it now if they want to save WvW.

Yes, skill lag is total game breaking. It is not your problem most likely.
