Commander of Piken.
Ranger for Life.
I keep getting finished by stealthed thieves who can easely do this even in an allyed zerg seeing that I am an ranger and my only interrupt abbility needs a target.
say what you think about this and no l2p comments pls.
Tired of this….
Really, is it necesssary one day and the next?
L2P issue.
Anyway enjoy your anti stealth skill soon…
Best,
Haltair, one of the Twelve Shadows
Stealth stomp is fine.
L2P
If you’re downed, you lost.
And you deserve it since you are a GC ranger who stands behind a zerg trying to tag as many opponents as possible.
If you’re downed, you lost.
not if there is no stealthy around…

HURRRRRR
If you fire the ranger interrupt skill untargeted, the interrupt occurs around your body, interrupting thieves from stealth. Guardians and Rangers are the only classes that can do this with their downed 2’s.
Learn your class before complaining.
I swear I have seen this thread around several times already.
If I am down I feel as though I lost…Not to say that I won’t tag a PVE mob for the luls, but if you stealth/invuln/mist stomp me I am fine with it.

I’m sorry for all those kids who responded before.
I suggest you to try this :
1) Bring with you the Raven and the Wolf, both are very usefull against thiefs and stunlock warrios.
2) Use the Raven when fighting, with 30 in BM it has 5 secs blind every 14 1/2, very effective
3) When downed swich to Wolf, and press F2( Fear ! ) when the try to stomp you, let him bite the thief for some seconds and then swich back to Raven for his blind, between you/raven/wolf you should buy yourself some precious seconds, the mach does not end when the ranger is downed, many time i killed ppl when i was down, most of them where thiefs/rangers .. they were to busy checking at my health bar that they forgot theyrs
3) Moas are also good, they heals you and dazes the stompers, some pets have very good stuffs, you just need to take some times and try them out.
4) Ranger underwater is quite OP, if you need to ecape i suggest you to run there, the downed state underwater can be almost immortal.

It’s no worse than stability as far as rendering your own skills useless – less so, depending on the skills. Since thieves have no way to stomp with stability (comes from an elite that precludes stomping) preventing them from using stealth would make them utterly terrible at it, not good considering they’re trying to push stomping on us now.
The difference is that stealth stomping is easier for your team mates to prevent – but requires more awareness on their part, something they rather lack most of the time. On my necro I’ll occasionally drop a mark on downed people, followed by reaper’s mark if someone sets it off; guardians have their GS pull, warriors have… well, they’ve got all kinds of AOE interrupts. Engineers have a mine with knockback on a very short c/d, but more likely they can drop a supply crate on you, because I don’t think many people use the mine (and they nearly all use the supply crate). I can’t be bothered going through every class, but point is, there’s a lot of things that would help if anyone cared to try.
On the other hand, removing someone’s stability is a fair bit rarer. Necros would be ideal; an engineer could remove a boon, maybe more if they’re lucky with minefield, and hope it’s the right one; mesmers would have a better chance and thieves if properly equipped and traited might do it (less so with upcoming nerfs to sword/dagger). Other than that I’m pretty sure the only option is ‘DPS them down immediately’, and that only if they’re not invulnerable.
