I’ve read about the upcoming updates for WvW, but one question was not addressed. Does the new abilities and titles will be given based off the current WvW achievements or does everybody starts from scratch? Thanks.

Start from scratch. Basically we are being punished because they waited so long to add this and they wont make it retro active(even tho we know they got logs, It must just cost to much todo so screw the consumer.) The past 7 months mean Jack.

Why should it be retroactive? It’s a completely new system that EVERYONE will have to deal with. Having it be retroactive would not reflect skill and progress in a game effected by the new system. Combined with the removal of culling and other changes, previous accomplishments in WvW wouldn’t be an accurate measure under the new dynamic of the game.

As for the past 7 months meaning jack? What do you call all the fun, the badges, the loot, and the personal skill, experience, and teamwork/guild/server building in WvW?

People get too fixated on collecting Achievements, and forgot that there’s more to games than just collecting little gold stars on your report card.

Rather ironic that the majority of recent patches so far by ANET has been in this direction of development huh?
