Le sigh, another week of destroying ET/FC and losing rating. Looks like that’s what’ll happen this week as well.

T8 is one messed up matchup.

Overseer of Hired Assassins – Sanctum Of Rall

I thought people were having fun destroying the weakest servers available. Your server has the whole map like 70% of the time. I don’t see why are you displeased. FC and ET should be the ones to whine.

Why in the world would battling a weaker opponent be fun? Where is the challenge in that? You also realize that when we have the map capped, there’s nothing to do but sit at the spawn, right?
ET/FC has the luxury of capping whatever they want and the chance to play around with new strategies with less numbers, I’d argue that their core WvW population is very strong, ours is dwindling due to boredom.

With all due respect, I find the “chance to play around with new strategies with less numbers” argument somewhat blunt. Each and every user on this forum is keenly aware that if you outnumber someone 3 or 4 to 1 in a combat (as it usually is the case with SF), you are going to win no matter what – unless the third party jumps in and steals your prize.
In addition to that, the volatility of weaker servers is big, as many people think that it is no fun at all getting beat up all the time, and I know for a fact that many from FC went to SF or higher ranked server. There is never a day when I hear someone whining how bad WvW for weaker servers is. Especially when you can’t leave your spawn point cause SF is all around your citadel and you can’t even put your foot out without being trounced by 15-20 man zerg. Nobody likes to lose.
To conclude, in my opinion, the best chance to save WvW is to make something like a championship with server rotation based on the population, WvW activity, and char level. It is downright unfair to expect a 600-player server to compete vs 1000 player one. Even if both servers have like 33% of their population devoted to WvW, that is still 200 vs 333. Nice odds, isn’t it? It’s even worse when you see a 20-man lvl 80 zerg fighting 10 upleveled players following a single lvl 80 commander. Who will win?

Totally fun curbstomping your opposing servers for over a month and winning the match by 126K points, but being rewarded with a -53.28 delta. Thanks NSP for loosing and saving us from the honor of being smack dab at the very bottom of the NA rating evolutions!
Seriously ArenaNet, please, please, PLEASE do something to fix the T8 Glicko Ghetto.
