Use of A thief in a Zerg/blob
Of course they do. Scouting for 1, 2 shortbow is decent aoe mixed with a dagger storm if built right you can divebomb straight into opposing zergs pop offa ton of aoe and survive, also useful to slowdown opposing zergs on the run using daggerstorm. Shadow Refuge give an area of security to battle rez. Survivable and fast class, sometimes u need that guy that get you supply back fast.
Cough, cough…Wrong use of them.

Daggerstorm in with signet of malice. Make sure they don’t all have retal tho.
Pop back out, start orbiting the zerg spamming shortbow skills. Cluster bomb a couple times and autoattack most of the time. Save some ini for your escape.
Spike and stomp people who come out low to heal.
Venomshares are good.
Depends on the build. I run PP and DD with a full glass cannon build. Pre culling it did exceptional in a zerg fight because you could pour out alot of damage without being seen. Now that you can be seen its not very smart to do what you used to be able to do with a full glass cannon build. I still find it runs really well in a solo or small group roam, but pretty bad fighting a zerg on zerg fight. Im thinking about switching to maybe S/D or P/D with a SB or dual pistol. I really liked the PP and DD for damage but with a full GC build its just way to dangerous so adding some mobility with the weapons and a bit of survivability with traits. But I just want to find the right balance so I can maximize damage without taking too many risks from a 1-2 hit kill.
Some of the things I do:
- Spam Cluster Bomb in all kinds of combo fields
- Charge in with a Daggerstorm to reflect all those nasty projectiles (you can use that defensively too)
- Circle around the enemy group spreading Choking Gas to apply poison (less healing) and, when traited, Weakness (less endurange regen, less damage).
