I don’t know if this is a bug, or has always been as intended but I’ve only just noticed now due to the ridiculous popularity of venom share thieves in wvw. What’s the go with venoms applying to cannons? I don’t know about other siege, but the fact that one thief can immobolise you, apply torment and some pretty hefty damage as well bleeding stacks all with one shot of a cannon, seems a bit much don’t you think?

If this is working as intended then I have lost all faith in the balance team.

this isn’t exactly directly related but way back maybe a year or more, this section was being bombed with queries as to why conditions scaled with sieges as it did seem a little bit unfair to power builds as it makes condis so special. we were ignored. we got brushed. we were talking to a wall. wall didn’t reply. we got tired. it’s not being asked anymore. it’s still in game. go ahead, we won’t take it against you if you lose that faith.

they’re really just out of touch with their own community.

I can’t imagine this being intentional, though I’ll have to pass this along. I know you can venom share with a gate, but that does nothing. A cannon on the other hand throws things off.

venoms get applied to siege, gates, walls… >.>

edit: Well they did, don’t quote me on if they still do on gates/walls. I haven’t checked and hadn’t cared to as I don’t run venomshare on my thief.

It cant be intentional and is in fact laughable. Venom sharing Cannons hahahahhahahha..

If AC’s get the heal venom they also get ‘repaired’

It seems quite plausible. My condi ranger does far more damage with cannon and certain runes/trait vs my power ranger or other power based classes. I always thought that was odd since the cannon was an inanimate object but never thought about it after I was done fighting back an attack

This explains why my guard cant kill jack with a cannon…

Nearly 1k burn ticks and perma-burns with mortars on my Necro is good times.

So if golems can also share venoms, they can be repaired too?

grab your poison master ranger in condi gear and set on a treb….some poor sods wont like the 450+ poison ticks. I love those in EoTM with the poor uplvl’ed zergs xD

or if you like burns grab a condi guard and trait for higher damaging burns for oil and mortars.

The venom sharing works quite well with arrow carts.

This is basically the same as when warriors used to be able to proc their leg specialist trait off of arrow carts, but they got rid of that. I guess they never bothered to do anything about venoms because of how crappy they’ve been overall and the unpopularity of venom share builds. I don’t really know what triggered this sudden fad (made those 5v30 videos that people keep trying and failing to replicate), but it is definitely something that should be fixed. It’s really just a matter of when it’ll get fixed.

Will get even better unless fixed before the coming changes to conditions, most condi builds will do even more dmg with maxed condi stat, while power builds will do less dmg with siege skills that apply condis than now.

My favourite is the venimous wall and gate

Besides do you rather have a theif sit on a cannon or run off on his own

Spirit rangers can apply burning with siege

Run on their own because venom share is easy to kill

Superior Arrow Cart with mastery, Rare Pizza, Toxic crystal, Carrion Venom Share thief and have a Ranger drop Sun spirit and Frost Spirit for you… It is fairly OP.

AoE resistance will kill it again dont worry.

Resistance only prevents the damage from conditions, not the CC from chill/immob/cripple yeah?
