You don’t have to nerf them and yada yada yada.

Just make them cost 100 supply to build.

3x less ac’s, cost to damage ratio is ok, no more open field carts, losing carts will hurt, and they can still rain down death and destruction if you do not take them out, also very easy for a-net to patch.

Please hold your applause. I will also require a rifle skin that looks like a double barreled shotgun for my warrior.

No AC mastery, less damage to players, smaller range, siege cap of 3 or 4 per tower/keep. Problem solved.

ACs should still be an option for small scale groups to take down undefended siege so I wouldn’t raise the amount of supplies needed to build it.

My guardian with over 2k toughness was taking 1.2k hits from superior arrow carts with protection up…. They essentially make attacking a tower with rams impossible.

My guardian with over 2k toughness was taking 1.2k hits from superior arrow carts with protection up…. They essentially make attacking a tower with rams impossible.

Bolded the entire problem with AC’s in the post above.

Get rid of AC Mastery and Superior AC’s. Problem solved.

They’ve already decreased the AC damage on siege
Making sure your group survives is a matter of teamwork like spammin waterfields and blasting ‘em for groupheals
There is always a possibility to take a tower or AC’s with catapults and ballistas

Lower the siege cap for AC.
Problem solved.

The real issue is not range or dmg (even if they’re part of the equation. supply/solver/badge cost too).
It’s that with current range and radius upgrades you can make up to 10ish AC overlap and hit the same area (namely, around the gate of hills).
THAT makes the whole thing kittened.
1 Superior AC hitting for 1k 50 players? It’s ok.
10 Ac is 10k/sec. On same 50 players. That’s the issue.

Seafarer’s Rest EU – PvE/WvW – 8 × 80 chars.
Most used: Guard/Mes/War/Nec/Ele.
Yes, i use 5 chars at time. Because REASONS.

Make them require line of sight from the perspective of the cart rather than that of the player’s view. In other words, make them prone to being “obstucted”.

This way, if you are being hit by one, you should be able to see it. Even if it is too far away for you to reach it.

This would also make it impossible for people to widen their FoV by any means just to be able to hit areas behind cover just because they, the player, can see that spot on their monitor. It would basically place everyone more on equal footing regardless of screen resolution, FoV, Eye Finity, etc.

Make them work like catapults / trebuchets. Rotate using skill 1 and 3 (obviously faster than catapult, as ACs are way smaller), charge using skill 2 (distance, can be faster than catapult again), and select arrow type (normal, cripple, bleeding) using 4.

They can stay as powerful as they are, but using now requires some skill (and dedication) to actually hit non-afkers. It’s impossible to (too) quickly change the direction, the farther the target is the lower the firing ratio (longer charge). Plus we get rid of LoS hacking (zoomhacks, or so called 17 monitor display / 12800×1024 resolution bug).

There, “problem solved”
