I have my wvw season 1 achievement now, and my Veteran of the Mists title is the one I’m most proud and pleased with in the whole game. This is because I spend most of my time in wvw, but this is the only wvw title I have so far. I’m looking forward to the rework of the other wvw achieves so other titles are also possible.

It makes me think a few things. First, I hope the title for the second league season is different somehow, because it feels special that I’m playing through this, the very first season. It actually surprised me that the title wasn’t “Premier Season Veteran” or whatever the meta achievement is actually called. It would be disappointing if every season has the same title reward.

I also wonder if this achievement might be a good thing to link in to wvw commander tags. People complain that 100 gold doesn’t mean you have any experience at all, so maybe asking that wvw commander tags (not PVE commander tags, of course) require this achievement would be worthwhile exploring.

“Combat Healer” and “Veteran of the Mists” are the only titles I have. I think this is the standard for low achiev points wvw players… :P

For you perhaps. I do not zerg much, I prefer not at all. I till do not have all of them because I hate the JP ones. Perhaps just as much as the merc camp one, because I hardly go to EB anymore.

i dont have the eb achis because im not an achi hunter. but we done the jps. our mesmer went up and ported us. problem solved, 5 minutes.
what i realy miss is title system ala gw1. a high ranked title always come with work but give u fame

Achievements hunters had an easier time getting this title than many daily WvW regular players, mostly those who play defense…
Wouldn’t be fair to make a title a pre-requisite for commanding in WvW…
And some PvE’ers prove to be pretty good commander…
