Victory points should be 2,3,4 not 1,2,3
Victory points are awarded the following way:
1st : 3 points
2nd: 2 points
3rd: 1 point
2nd and 3rd should give the same ammoutn of points so one server don’t run away with victory that easy… Yes, it will create the 2v1 feeling, but that’s how it works in a 1v1v1 enviroment.

Victory points are not 2 for first, 1 for second, 0 for last. They are 3 for first, 2 for second, 1 for last. Also it’s been two days into the matchup, for all we know your server could have stronger mid week coverage and could pull ahead over the next few days. If the matchup stays lopsided like that, then changing the nubmer of victory points earned wont change much. Not being able to pull ahead in a skirmish in any time zone seems to be more of a population issue.

No. The total victory points may look prettier, but 3-2-1 and 4-3-2 systems are the same when your server needs to catch up. See my post.

With a 2,3,4 a winner receives 44% of the total awarded points,
with a 1,2,3 a winner receives 50% of the total awarded points.
Basically OP is suggesting making a skirmish win less significant.
We do not have much details how they gonna calculate the ranking with the new skirmish system.

They have historically used score proportions to calculate the glicko ratings. So technically they don’t need to change anything. However, they have no history of skirmish victory points so they they have no idea what the strength of victory distribution should look like.
Errors in the last strength of victory distribution resulted in the glicko walls between tiers. But with the new scoring system there is no way of knowing how the ranking calculation will be impacted since there is no sense of what a normal margin of victory will be. It may fix the glicko wall or it may make it worse.
Something like 4/3/3 would work. It would put much more pressure on the typical blob server while making it easier for the other two to keep/catch up.

However with 3-2-2 distribution the victory could be decided halfway into the matchup(Tuesday morning). If a server won the first half of the skirmishes it might as well stop playing (Glicko aside).
With 3-2-1 a server needs to win 2/3 of the skirmishes to guarantee a victory (Wednesday afternoon). It is harder to catchup, though, because not only you need to win all remaining skirmishes, you also need to ensure the leading server comes 3rd in every skirmish.
1-(-1)-(-1) distribution would be interesting to try. That is having a victory point removed from both loser servers per skirmish.
