This aims to demonstrate how a small-man can effectively help their server, raise morale, and do things that none other than do. This is part of my campaign against the whole “Small-mans aren’t helping their server” idea that’s been around for months.

I don’t see what’s the problem. If a person excels at one aspect at WvW, shouldn’t he be concentrating on that aspect? Or do you want the cream of your fighting force running supplies?

You’re beyond saving. I make a video encouraging small-mans to help the server, and all you could find to say is this. More and more, I lose the will to even care slightly about my server because of all the unnappreciation for the effort groups are doing.
It seems like all they want these days is people to zerg around like sheep, or otherwise deemed trolls.

maybe if you spent less time trying to be noticed, and more time contributing, yall wouldn’t be underappreciated?
I mean serious: “buy time till the taco can flank….this is what happens when you over-extend….all tank teams can’t do much dps”….. and my personal favorite: “better safe than sorry when playing small group”….

Efface is probably a zergling and enjoys PvDoor.
A lot of people still don’t understand the importance of positioning in open world fighting and using the terrain to a groups advantage. The first video is good at demonstrating how the use of terrain can help even the numbers.
I enjoyed the videos and would like to see more!

Anyone who says small mans don’t help the server are wrong. Thanks for taking the time to help some others and share ideas
1 roaming thief distracts 5 enemies for 30 seconds, the 50v50 zerg fight is now 50v45. Made my chances better.
Small man team can fend off a 20 man attack on a tower, I don’t have to port back and stop my attack.
Yak escorts, yak kills, player kills, distraction, tower ninjas ect. I would rather have a 5 man team stealth siege a tower while I hit a keep than have the extra 5 people with me.
You want to zerg? Cool! I need good players. You want to roam, cool. Retake a camp once in a while or kill a yak, be a pain in the kitten to the enemy.
Little zerglings, because you are in a bigger group, doesn’t mean you can order people around. Get over yourself. You didnt wipe because your zerg was 45 people instead of 50.

Lol, some ppl are funny. Sometimes I spend all evening on dolly escorting and camp retaking + supply upgrade. That allone (is expensive, if done on regular bases, but) helps out my server a lot, to keep defending that one keep or be able to upgrade it and siege it up.
Trolling this one 5 man team with my thief also has stoped it from achieveing anything else. Again, I do not win smth here, but my server does.
There are so many on my server with much much more WXP (espellially when my WXP are spread over 3 characters), but I dare to say that I am one of the best of my server in matters of backround work and roaming or as some say backlining.
Backlining can be done in several ways:
- baiting the enemy Zerg into your own
- securing supply income
- scouting
- intercepting other backlinign teams
- … [add more if youn wish, the list ain’t complete]
Every1 saying small groups and roamers can not contribute to their server is plainly simply wrong. Especially if all your server is trying to defend SM and you and your friend are the only ones taking care, that SM has supply income.

TSym is a 100% zerg guild. I don’t run small ops when tagged, I am a zerg commander. I play oceanic anyways. TSym has no oceanic.
So, how was that a recruitment ad? kitten, I don’t even know 80% of my guild anymore.

It was horrible at the time, but I sometimes miss joining on 3 voip servers at the same time with more hotkeys for mute/deafen/whisper than hotkeys for skills and asking AoN to play distraction team.
Like, you just explain what you want to capture, the steps you need to do it, how much supply you need and how much time you need to take a gate down. And you could play AoN on a “bait” tower or supply camp to kite a tonne of players at a location you don’t care about, so you can pick tier 3 upgraded fruit on the opposite side of the map.
Used to swap south towers for north towers in attacking BLs doing that. They were good trades. Didn’t get a chance to play last weekend since reset times are all weird. I’d probably be rally bait now.
