Let’s face it… fighting a T5 zerg, flanking them from the side, in a chokepoint, with half of the zerg being upleveled, the other half clueless about WvW.. is not that impressive in my opinion.

AoN presents a 4 man in an excellent battle, on reset night, versus Maguuma and Fort Aspenwood, hitting them head on. Enjoy and thank you, people!

I’ve noticed a significant increase in threads about Dragonbrand stuff since we got out of tier 5~4.

Half solid video too, as long as people don’t start flooding in and pointing out how many wvw videos there are of the whole “Few people destroy many people” thing :P

Oh yes, digging the Warrior Group play there.

Curious, is it because you are in a group that you run the shout and balanced stance as opposed to bola and…albeit very buggy bull’s charge?

Every time someone mentioned AoN in mumble, it was followed with “leave them alone, let them do their own thing.” Every time I fought them they were running away. I don’t even party with anyone when I play. They did not have just 4 people when I saw them. Was closer to 12. Everyone is trying to do the guild lawnmower thang.

Guardian, ele, warrior, mesmer. Do you even need a 5th? It wasn’t 20 vs 4. It was 5, then 5 more, etc. Lets see you run 4 people into a zerg instead of post some misleading, ego-fed, pug slaughter. The start of the video is you running away after all.

I wouldn’t run into a warrior if I got hit for half my health bar on the first hit.
I would do what you’re doing. Kiting.
I wouldn’t stand in mesmer aoe.
I wouldn’t focus the guardian or the ele, being it that I’m an ele and it’s not 1v1.

Those people don’t represent Maguuma imo. They have no idea what they’re doing.

Yep, Katniss. Pretty big difference between fighting 20 at a time when they are all on you and fighting them in small groups as they filter in. The second half when you got hit was much better, but I still don’t think that was 20.

Good fight, but it could have done without the backhanded T5 insult and the misleading video description.

…Where in the world do you see 12? Okay, a random pubby joined the action about 2 or 3 mins into the video.. so many things are wrong with what you said. We took a 5 man and ran 35+ Maguuma into the ground, before taking the tower, wiping Maguuma 10 times over before we finally got bored and left.

Why didn’t we post that fight? Because frankly, that zerg sucked… it was like a wednesday afternoon and I agree, THAT zerg doesn’t represent Maguuma. But having fought you guys for long enough, I can say that this was one of the better Maguuma groups.

I wasn’t talking about during that video when I mentioned 12.

To clarify for everyone: Our plan was to hold the north on reset. We did that excellently. If you took a southern tower you were fighting players that do their own thing, and aren’t team players. Pugs. When I logged last night we had our entire BL, and more than 1/3 of eternal. FA had the lead because neither team had the numbers to send to their BL so they racked up the points. Maguuma is ALWAYS the 2:1 target of every match.

Your guild focuses on pointless field battles on reset night. Grats? Sure, it’s fun. But I wouldn’t be posting a video about mowing down pugs with ulta-massive warrior aoe. In fact, AoE should be the guild tag.

I am still a member of their guild and though I remain on Maguuma I can guarantee you they have NEVER run a 20 man. At most they may have run 12 or 13 at once but that is extremely rare.

In fact, Convenant is very particular about running too many people because it starts to feel too zergy and most of the AoN members don’t enjoy doing that. A few days ago in Eternal (if it was when I was running with them) there may have been 8 or 9 people total and nowhere close to a 20 man.

Well there were definitely 20+ people there but a lot of them may have been PuGs…I suppose so.

AoN reminds me a lot of FA’s BT. AoNs tight, but those guys are beasty. Not sure if you guys have seen them around, but them and AoN are scary.

BT on T2 server that their necro posted was pretty kitten cool.

We are inviting all the 5 mans across the servers to our tier. Lower avg # of zergers even though there are still groups of 25+. But our server alone has 4-5 Northern Shiverpeaks 5 mans that run daily. We have fought Anvil Rock and Borlis Pass for going on two whole months. The scores are very close all the time and most likely will not change. It is a safe place to have competitive guilds roaming every night. We run prime time hours weekly (anywhere from 5pm cst to midnight). Our guild PAXA and allie guild ENVY are willing to help any and all get to our tier. Would much rather log on knowing 2-5 other small mans from each server are out looking for a fight with us. I know moving seems like a hassle up front, but in a stagnant tier, generating competitive 5 v 5 fights every night for months ahead…it is well worth it. We are very serious about making this work, and have a couple guilds chatting with us about making it happen. Let me know your thoughts if interested.

It’s all in good fun, even if it was a video of my zerg getting steam rolled by a few enemies I’d still like it. Skill or luck, whatever you wish to call it, it’s good stuff.

There’s actually not a huge amount of d/d eles that regularly play in OG these days, and I don’t believe any run fotm builds. But hey, keep telling yourself whatever makes you feel better about dying.
