I just don’t get the recent match up’s in WVW. Sf and DH have been begging to get rid of Cd and now we get even a bigger server in SB!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I spend $$$$$$$ on gems and stuff and we get treated like this???? Very shameful who ever is up to this. If you think I am the only one, transfer to one of the servers that have been putting up with this and see how much WVW is to them. I hope in the future “the players” get thought of first instead of wanting a 24/7 zerg that you have zero chance to defeat. WVW used to be so much fun and now EVERYONE complains how poorly it’s ran. The only sincere thing I can think of is to get people to leave WVW and do the new Bloodstone Fen otherwise this make zero sense. At least combine DH and SF to battle SB! That would be fair. All we ask for is to get on and play the game and not watch “the blob” run and wipe everything……..it’s not fun and it’s bad business. I wanted to post this for the people that have been complaining so openly in map chat about it and are sick of it!

There’s nothing stopping SF and DH from banding together to fight SBI. Might be more fun for everyone involved, SBI included.

You can blame anet for the decision of making a 4 headed hydra out of CD/BP/ET/Kain. There’s absolutely no reason to stack 4 servers together, I don’t know how they thought that was a good idea. It goes to show how much attention they pay to actually PLAYING WvW (not just looking at forum complaints) because if they had someone playing on BG for the 2 months ET was linked with them then they would know ET was being stacked with players before they were re-linked into this 4 headed beast.

The gap between T3 and T4 is enormous (exception of the hydra head) and unless they do another adjustment, its going to be extremely difficult to balance. My solution is to make T1/T2 servers all unlinked and the rest of the bottom servers be linked so that theres a T1/T2 (1v1v1 matchups) and T3/T4/T5 (2v2v2 matchups). Otherwise, balancing T4 is going to be difficult unless you know which servers are the best to match up together in a tier with 9 servers to split into teams of 3.

Yes, it has already been well hashed out that anything moving down to T4 to take on DH & SF was going to be hard for us to compete against. The populations of each of our server groups is so far behind every other server or server linking that we are all boggled as to how it was determined that these combinations would lead to anything resembling a balanced matchup.

As a member of the four server link I agree with that. I barely play wvw now.

Playing in T3, I’m not sure if they’re rusty from lack of challenge or not very good, but that 4-server team hasn’t been playing very well. What they do have going for them is coverage. For the past 12 hours they’ve been fielding a 50-person zerg in EBG, plus roamers, plus a little borderland action.

SoS’s coverage drops to 20 people in EBG with half of those roaming at times, it is going to make for an interesting match.

Really I’m just happy having CD/YB having had to fight maguuma and SBI nearly every match for three months. Finally different servers with different play styles. It’s so refreshing.

Don’t know why the kitten the OP is still complaining. Look at the scores. DH ISN’T LAST PLACE FOR ONCE! Sf and Dh are actually competing for 2nd….there’s actually a chance either one can get it this time. A ton of players have returned and become active on dh again. We’ve had some very good fights this week. SBi is still huge and dominating but they play differently than CD….and honestly SBi seems alot smaller than CD. They have alot of groups running each map, but they aren’t ‘everywhere’ ALL THE TIME in true blob fashion like CD was. We won’t be taking SMC or invading sbi’s garrison or anything like that. But we can actually repel both sbi and sf if we work hard enough on our home bl (today was proof of that). Plus Dh can now fight most of the enemy zergs for once, given sbi and sf aren’t running anywhere near as huge as cd was.

This is honestly a very fun match. Every other week since merging with DH has been horrible, but this week things have finally changed.

We won’t be getting 1st place, and were still gonna be losing all our stuff in EB all the time. But we have actual waypoints and T3 keeps and towers in our home bl! Something we haven’t had in such a long time. Everyone is spending on upgrades and stuff as well, we got a real good turnout and some motivation to keep us going.

It would have been best to see YB down there. They would have been winning but not nearly as much at least from what I have seen.

3 server link same. All the weeks of stupidity pretty much melted us down to nothing.

As much as I don’t wanna seem like a whiner, I couldn’t agree more.. Weeks and weeks fighting against CD with absolutely 0 chance of doing anything besides recapping paper crap, now we get faced with SBI that has constantly been beating YB? As much as I have to admit, these changes are probably the worst changes yet made in wvw… WvW went from being a fun environment where tactics actually mattered to zerg blobs with the most numbers owning every thing with no sweat.

Anet needs to come up with something clever because this is killing the game slowly.

I rather have the old system rather than this server link crap with 0 chances of beating a higher populated tiered server.

SBI + HoD vs ( SF & GoM vs DH & Ebay )? Is this some sort of joke Anet? =/

PS: The solution to this issue is not transferring to a different server. I have been part of the GoM wvw community for 3 years now and I have been playing with buddies and friends that I have considered to being part of my family for a long time now. I don’t see myself leaving the server due to the game being completely unbalanced with matches. Do I have the gems, gold, money to transfer to a higher tier server? YES! Will I do so? Hell no.. I want a real solution to this problem and not a temporary server transfer solution that does not solve the issue at all in the long run!

Don’t know what time zone you run in but I logged in late PST last night and saw our PPT was down to 22 per tick. SBI had flipped almost all of EBG and our BL (SF), taking our EBG keep and BL garrison and almost everything else. DH BL looked pretty overrun too. SBI blobs seem about the same size as CD’s but there are fewer on SF showing up for the late night coverage.

I must be playing a different match-up. If I recall correctly, DH has been placing last for a very long time now lol.. Least since they started fighting against SF and CD which lasted a couple of weeks.

I could not AGREE more!!!!!!! Thank you ALL for responding to this. I basically live in WVW. I spend $ on superior siege and that takes TIME to build! I leave for like 1-2 hours come back …..Garri gone all gone…. all the siege I spent $ on and time to build gone!!!! How fun is that??? I ask in map chat what happened ??? ANSWER: THE BLOB happened…
