Seriously? I haven’t complained about a single thing with this game until I get a group of 15 core players from my guild into WvW. We had a good 2 hour battle and then finally realize something. The enemy team is hacking. 20+ of them are hacking around the map at roughly 4x normal running speed.

This is beyond broken and I can’t even report them for it. I hope this is being worked on. Game breakingly bad.

Are you sure they are hacking and it’s not speed buffs?

I was in the same match against Fort Aspenwood and Sea of Sorrows. I can confirm this as I saw the same thing happen. It wasn’t a speed buff or skill use, and I it wasn’t lag either they were just teleporting around, running across water etc. I’m just reporting as I see it, but it is so rampant in this weeks matchup so far it’s hard to report them all.

There is mass speed hacks out there.
I seen my fair share as well.

Are you sure they aren’t using portals? We use a tactic where 3 mesmers can use portals to get the entire zerg from garrison to hills in 30 seconds. 3 portal jumps and your there.

EDIT: We have done it before with literally: jump, 2 steps forward, jump 2 steps forward jump, there; took seconds.

using mesmer portal jumps is hacks to me, its not literally but its just cheeky and cheaty. You know kitten well the server culling will make you ‘appear’ far to late to be a fair fight with whatever you are against, its teh same as grps spamming the thief aoe stealth ‘house’ skill, everyone stealths then takes a while to unstealth due to culling and gain prob 4 times the stealth they should obtain. Its cheating and lame, and your a crap and pathetic player to do it.

I’ve seen a person from Sorrows Furance tp hack to get the SP in the castle when we had it. He tped in, got the skill point as i was going towards it and then tped out. Didn’t have time to click on him and report if I was able to click on him. I know some of them have a hack where you can’t click on them.

No, this was not mesmer portals. I like to consider myself at least an intelligent player. I have world complete, run my own tournament team, know almost 100% of every class skills and when to use them. Run my own WVW raid night and am working on my legendary. I don’t see how people can come in and confuse themselves with SPEED HACKING and a mesmer portal.

TO BE MORE PRECISE, these players were teleporting from one spot to another, roughly 100 range apart constantly while attacking. They can run in a circle around you at roughly 4 times the normal speed of running without swiftness. The can pop in, hit you for half your health and then run away. they are out of comabt before you are, heal to full and come back in to hit you again. CC works on them but not cripple. It only slows them down to 3 times the normal run speed. This is breaking the game and arena net needs to fix it or announce to us the numbers banned.

There is a speed hack. There was even a clip on youtube a day or 2 ago. Its not mesmer shenangans, its literally a guy running in, out and circles around a guy at like 4x speed while attacking him.

Edit: actually you can find a bunch of these on youtube now. Just type in something like “gw2 speed hacker”. Ignore the posts that are links on “how to get them” – they are obvious attempts at trying to get stupid people to dl malware.

There are multiple speed/teleport hacks being used by several groups of players. This cheating needs to be stopped and bans issued swiftly or GW2 will quickly be labelled a cheating paradise like DayZ.

It is up to ArenaNet to fix the rendering issue, it is not up to Mesmers to give up one of their most powerful abilities. And this is being said by someone who was on the receiving end of some serious Mesmer teleport + rendering problem stomping tonight. I must have died at least five times because of it. But Mesmers are just doing what they’re supposed to do. Not their fault the game isn’t.

It may not be, I’m responding to a post it wouldn’t let me quote for some reason saying Mesmers shouldn’t teleport because of the rendering issue.

I’ve already seen videos of hackers in WvW, they weren’t just using speed hacks, they were teleporting and crawling up cliffs like little spiders.

Arenanet needs to break out the bug spray.

I’ve seen thiefs do it also. You can look up how to do it on Youtube. Pretty crappy.

Yeah, some of us on NSP have caught account names of speed hackers and flyhackers tonight. Also pathing exploiters who go under the keep to attack your siege from there.
