I have been a part of GW since lets say 2006 and have enjoyed a lot of what this game has brought. I was Pre-Purchased since it was available for GW2 and play religiously daily still. I have moved on to being a WvW player mainly and just want to know or understand why at the rate I am going it will take me 2 yrs to gain all points needed to carry five extra SUPPLY?…Is WvW something you really don’t want daily players to participate in ? or is it something else?….I have spent enough $ in your game…..GLADLY!!! and will continue too so long as it is fun and makes sense. I just do not understand the mindset you have as far as making those of us that are extremely loyal, work so hard towards a goal, that we have serious thoughts of not participating in because of the ridiculous timeframe it requires!!! I do not want it given to me but Since I spend up to 6 hrs a day in WvW and am still level 13(whatever meaningless title that is!) (Commander by the way.) I hope that I am not the only one expressing these feelings and someone on your end looks into and at the very real issues this is starting to create in your loyal(VERY LOYAL)playerbase……Thank You for taking the time to at least see this comment….yours in adventuring.

It’s actualy pretty obvious – constant ability to carry more supps is most powerful update of your WvW abilities and do make a difference. So it have to be a costly upgrade.

You play 6 hours a day and still level 13? Are you AFK for the first 5 1/2 hours? 6 Hours in a week and you should be more than that level since they introduced the new wvwvw ranks.

20 lvls is 100k wxp, in 6 hours we talking about 17k (yes, 17,000) wxp per hour, and each tower cap gives 150. That’s 113 towers an hour for 6 hours, every day…

Well maguuma does have the person with highest WvW rank in the game, and if you WvW right and hard its called THE ENEMY TAKING THEIR STUFF BACK AND RECLAIMING IT you be amazed in what can happen in T3 in an hour.

You must be in a low tier server. We have a great matchup with Yaks and Kaineng. Lots of battles on all BLs and EB. And you do realize that you get WXP from not only towers, but guard posts, camps, and killing Invaders too right? You think we just sit around looking for towers and avoiding zergs? We’re Maguuma. We chase zergs or rush head first into them. And when we’re not paying attention, Paralda leads off a cliff like lemmings.

Just some math for you guys: Capping SM gives 375 wxp. Capping a Keep gives 300. Let’s say you are very lucky and you alternate between capping a keep and capping SM every 5-mins while also flipping 2 camps and sentries on your way back and forth (which probably is the best case scenario and highly unlickely to be kept up for 6 hours every day…) That means 375+300+2*(38+75) = 901 wxp/10min or 5406 wxp/hour.

You only need 11.6k to go. So let’s go zerg-crushing. Let’s say you run into a 100-man blob and tag everything and get an average of 40 wxp per player this gives you 4k. Which means in addition to your insane SM to Keep to SM routine you’ll also have to wipe a 100-man blob every 20 minutes AND tag everything.

What if you only wipe zergs and forget about the (less lucrative SM and Keeps?)
Well at 4K per zerg-wipe you’ll have to wipe a 100-man blob every 14 minutes to get to 17k per hour.
Therefore, even if you cap a kittenload of stuff (SM or Keep + 2 supply camps and sentries every 5 mins) you still have to crush and tag a 100-man blob between every 14 to 20 minutes. And this is all done with the (generous) assumption that the enemy had time to get to 40wxp-giving age…

So I call kitten on the 20+ lvls per 6 hour-shift, unless somebody can give me a rundown on how much stuff + zergs you get to take/crush on a regular basis.

However, OP, you should be able to get a couple of levels per week on a 6-hour shift, unless you’re on scouting-/ or trebbing-duty all the time…

Im a Maguuman commander lol and i know for a fact that the most anyone on our server ever gets in a day is about 10 ranks a day. average about 1 rank every 1h 30min.

OP if you are only 13 at 6 hours a day you are doing it wrong.

I can get a level a night playing casually for about 3 hours. I haven’t really played for 2 weeks and my level is 40 on one char and I have 15+ an two others.

Everyone who is disagreeing with the OP: You do realize that your WXP per hour is entirely a function of the player density specifically at that play time and whether or not your side is winning /losing?

I’ve been on when WvW is almost empty and it’s nearly impossible to get much WXP.

If it’s prime time on a T2 server, and we’re winning, HUGE WXP.

If it’s prime time on the same T2 server and we’re getting our butts handed to us, ZERO WxP.

Your WXP rate of experience is unique to you, your server, and your play time. So don’t call the OP “doing it wrong”.
