Personally I think it would be better if playing on an alt you get boosted WXP (something big, like 2x-3x) until that alt catches up with whatever highest WXP level char you have. Whenever you’d play your highest level char you’d get normal WXP rates.

It makes perfect sense if you have one toon who specialises in siege and another who specialises in AC and you choose your alt according to what your team are doing (offensive/defensive). I would agree that sometimes there is a tendency to think shall I not bother to play my alt as my main has more WXP buffs. Best option would be for all alts to get the same WXP simultaneously but keep the spending aspect seperate imo. It would be good to allow my guardian to focus on defensive upgrades without it being at the expense of playing my warrior for offensive upgrades.

Or just make it account-wide instead of the kittened system* they came up with.

* Unless you can play 24/7

It’s designed as a grind. Of course it’s going to be character bound.

I like the idea, but with a twist. Let there be a "WxP Bank much like Laurels are.

Here are 3 possible scenarios.

Player 1:
Only plays one character exclusively. Over time he accumulates 1000 WxP points. He spends them all on his one Character.

Player 2:
Loves his ALTs. Over time and across his 5 ALts he also accumulates 1000 WxP. He decides to use them all on one ALT instead of dividing them up across all 5.

Player 3:
Also loves his ALTs. He divides his 1000 WxP across all 5.

If this was implemented, all current WxP points would need to be refunded into the “WxP bank”. This plan doesn’t penalize anyone’s play style but offers everyone options.

I’d also like to see an option to reset WxP points for 1G maybe? :-)

I like the idea of being able to reset as with the traits but I think you still need to earn the points on all of your toons simultaneously – at least you do if you’ve been supporting GW2 by buying character slots and now have 10 lvl 80 alts

If the WxP was common but you had to pay to reset I would end up with 11 toons doing the same thing. If earning the points was common but spending was per character I would have one specialising in siege, another in AC’s, another in supply and would play whichever character my team needed most at the time.

It should have been account bound, not player bound. WvWers care about winning matchups, not character progression.

Give double chests on alts until they equal the highest rank on the account. That would probably get people playing alts.

I still think it should be account wide.
