Walls/Gate Differenthealth?
Ever since they reduced wall hp with the return of alpine it’s been mucked up.
They certainly couldn’t have it the same as dbl wall hp, but now you can do all sorts of things (including hitting outer and inner at the same time).
It really needs a look. (Cough. Tyler. Cough.)
Walls and gates need to be looked at as part of an overhaul of defending in its entirety. Owning the structure should be giving you advantages that are non negligible when you are defending. It shouldn’t be a death sentence to get to defensive siege. Massive AOE and mark spam shouldn’t be a thing on the walls themselves

On Anet thinking structures are not ment to hold for that long, they are ment to loose and recap, reason it is easier to cap than defend, the thing is that groups tend to quit if it takes effort, while with a bit of pressure and placing siege in certain spots, everything can be flipped.
I still see guild groups only capping empty or paper sutff….and bail at minimal contact.
SOmetimes i siege up a few normal trebs and normal siege, while siege is there structure is not atacked by the larger group… even if there no one to use the siege.
Still walls should be harder to aoe… it is to easy to at least get outisde walls down with low effort, then add the dumb design of placing castles on valeys….
Wonder where they have learnt to built keeps on valeys….
I do agree that guilds defending their stuff need to be rewarded, WvW is a model of cap and hold for better ppt, some servers are loosing ppt because they are awfull and think KT is the best way to cap stuff while they loose on the other side (ive seen recently a server blobing/ in defense of t2 max SM(i think it was a paper crackhouse…not even t2 but cant remmember well that part) while 2 small groups took almost of their t3 stuff in Alpine BL..).
The reward system needs to encourage players on capping for more ppt if they have their stuff defended, thus guild keeping their stuff safe and clean should be rewarded and that would increase the reward “boon/ effect” for other players as well.
Gw2 atm is super brainless…..
