Guild Wars 2

I started this game out in gates of madness, just getting used to the game and all. When i was leveled up enough, I tried wvw, and it soon became my favorite thing in this game. Problem was, it seemed like whenever we were losing, people just stopped playing. I was constantly in maps that gave me the “outnumbered” bonus, which is bad since it doesnt feel like an actual battle, and there was no one to really play and cooperate with. I switched to HoD because they were the top server at a time (I know, bandwagon bullcrap,) but my reason is I just wanted to play in a populated server against other populated servers. When I moved, we were against jq and another server, and it was a very close game. It was so much better than GoM because people were actually working together and it felt like an actual battle.

Now, It looks like everyone left HoD, since we have literally a score of 0. No one is on, and its not fun to play since theres not enough people to group up with to make any difference.

I don’t necessarily want to switch servers again, but I do want an active wvw community thats actually fun. Will this issue of people leaving or having a ghost town of a server clear up soon enough, or am I gonna have to switch servers again to have any fun in wvw?

Maguuma has a hard-core active WvW organized community.

Our only major issue is numbers. When we fight zerg servers (they have a full server), we are forced to organize and limit how much we can hold. But, this gives us lots of teamwork. We have a free Maguuma server communication system (Mumble), so everyone who plays WvW can organize and talk to one another.

Give Maguuma a shot.

As you can gather from the threads here, this is going to be an ongoing problem until the transfer policy is modified, since there is really very little that differentiates one server from another (although as a TC-er, I have to plug our server for perhaps being a little different). I think for your situation and wishes, you should try a server that has recently received a lot of guild transfers such as blackgate and Sea of Sorrows. It’s more likely that guilds stability will be a bit better on theses servers in the short term, since they just got there and there is some tailwind in their recent performances.

If the transfer policy doesn’t change, however, you should be prepared to transfer every couple of month or so (if not sooner). That’s just how things are right now.
