I by no means am that good at rifle warrior….however, that is my point. I can casually play the killshot warrior and do stupid damage. If you watch the vid I even win a 1v1 against a good guardian. I got really lucky at moving away and interrupting at the right moments.
Rifle is fine…problems with warrior are EP and BS. Good grief those skills used together are the most OP thing in this game.

Kill Shot has a range of 1500, how much more range do you need?

Killshot warriors are alive and well in NA T2. They are great for dealing with pugmanders.
Kill shot fails (because of dodges, blocks or the target moving out of range) more often than not. It’s especially funny when it gets reflected, because the sniper warriors often have very low HP.
Kill shot is perfectly fine.
It’s something i pull out from time to time to troll in EBG where the sudden loss of a pugmander / driver can do wonders for moral.
Bows:
When I first joined the game I played a Ranger. They simply don’t do the damage they should compared to bows in real life. As a person who practices archery the whole bow system is simply unrealistic and doesn’t reflect on the reality of the devastation an arrow really is.
-The warrior bow is more reflective of making the Warrior a minor siege machinery in WvW. It helps deny people access to keep doors and generally breaks up sieges.
- However, you gave warriors a longbow and short range. In and of itself, good idea. It keeps things from getting too overpowered. However, as you are constantly reducing access to damage from Crit to Ferocity, and now crushing Adrenaline you’re slowly marching the whole ranged-warrior effectiveness into a full blown nerf.

This is mostly post to Anet devs working on the balance patch, but also as an open discussion.
I wanted to bring to light two issues I don’t see covered in the current discussions.
- Sniping as a Warrior
- Really killing a special thingYou (Devs) gave Warriors the ability to use a rifle. And you gave Warriors a Kill Shot. Then, to top it off there is the oh so beautiful Predator legendary.

Warriors with a Rifle are FANTASTIC… They don’t do spectacular damage, but they can take out trouble-targets in WvW. They’re a sniper and function excellently for this. – However, again, with the the Crit to Ferocity change and now more changes with Adrenaline you’re walking the viability of the rifle right out of the game.Summary & Conclusions:
- As you change the Adrenaline build for the warrior you are slowly eliminating the effectiveness of the Rifle to a trinket.
- As you change the way Adrenaline works you are also eliminating the desire for warriors to use longbow.:: You’re walking Ranged Warriors or Warriors who would like to swap between Range(Primary) and Melee(Secondary) out of the game.
- Bows: I really don’t have a solution on hand for the bow as currently it isn’t really hurt that badly considering how it functions.
- Rifles: Consider
- – increasing the range on the Rifle or Kill Shot ability to offset the decrease /utility in damage this upcoming change will bring.- – possibly consider decreasing timers if damage drops below current values much more
Back when the game was still young, one of the builds i tried on my war was a rifle / bow. it was pretty awesome in wvw, but then the changes came in to trait lines and rifle/bow became no longer viable, although rifle / GS WH was still excellent for roaming, then more changes came in and wrecked that, and now more.
so yeah …..
Hmm, I still see rifle warriors from time to time. Maybe not the best set, but the damage from kill shot alone is reason enough to fear them – especially in zergs.
I remember one day running supplies I just saw a warrior sitting there, aiming at me – and I died. He literally one shotted my 13000hp Thief. I didn’t get angry, I just laughed. It was so easy to spot, yet I got hit.
I feel like the skill it self is in a sweet spot. It hits hard, has a good range and has a good long tell to make up for it. I roamed with two kill shot warriors the other day. Best experience of my life! Stealthing them and then watching them kill shot even tougher targets to death was a blessing!

I get around 7k-9k with a PVT/Zerker mix of ascended and perception sigil. If I went all zerk with bloodlust sigil I would expect even better so I don’t see the problem here. The ability to single-shot down guardians in the middle of a fight is nothing to sneeze at.

Rifles and bows are cool, until you realize that it’s not viable for warriors in wvw when you can use your survivability and shhit da hell out of everybody with melee weapons.
Well rifle and bow is good because when enemy see you he start to laugh, cola comes out of his nose and he need to go get some paper.

Please tell me more how your RL experience should have anything to do with an fantasy based MMO.
And if you don’t think your ranger could do enough damage with Longbow I presume?
You must be doing something really wrong.
