Highest armor, highest hp, good passive healing, good damage, 2nd best mobility, good CC, good condition removal, really good for combos.

With all these buffs going on I decided to roll solo on my warrior tonight. Suddenly I ran into a zerg. It was time to be chased down. It took some time, but eventually the zerg was dead.
I don’t even need kitten to know that’s true.
Personally I think the Warrior is the best overall balanced class. It’s the other classes that need buffs or updated weapon skills.
With all the warrior complaints though, I wouldn’t be suprised to see the warrior reduced down to a farmer charging into battle with a pitchfork screaming “For Great Justice”!
Unfortunately for GW2 class balancing effects all three areas of the game, PvE, WvW, and straight PvP. They stand by keeping it simple, but I think it makes it tough because a change for one area effects the other in a different way (sometimes).
Another big downfault in my opinion is that the attempt to make every class “equal” created this mindset where a thief should be able to do everything any other class can do.
I would rather see:
Heavy classes= Tanky, support, burst damage, lead
Medium Classes= Mobile, roaming, critical damage, scout
Light Classes= Heavy DPS, medium mobility, different types of damage, “guts” of a groups damage, but high reward/high risk game play. More challenging than other.
Maybe that breaks the barrier into “Holy Trinity” but whatever lol

Warriors were OP in zergs prior to the update. The shout heal buff made it even more so. If you are upset by that, roll a warrior. Balance decisions are not made based on WvW and shout heals aren’t as big of a deal in PvP.
without mobility they would be too easy to kill, but i hate these runners :/
Game is balanced around PvP, hence it kittens everything else. If, as any other class, you want balanced gameplay I suggest you play PvP otherwise just learn to live with it as I have had to.
Sadly I hate PvP, so my (non-condi) necro will most likely be one of your next victims.

I don’t see a problem with warriors honestly I mean the major differences from when they were total garbage to “OP” were Cleansing Ire, Healing Signet and the Mace Buff.
After the changes to Para Sigil I don’t think that Mace is such a problem anymore(never had a problem with it pre nerf).
Cleansing Ire is a nice and much much needed condi removal, but can be countered very easy through dodging ore blindness.
Healing Signet isn’t overpowered either, because if you don’t manage to deal 400 dmg per second to a warrior he deserves to kill you…
To be honest warriors are really bad at getting lost health back compared to other classes, therefore instead of just bursting them down, try sustained damage it can help a lot, or condition damage.

They are immune to conditions being applied to them, not immune to them. Same as the engineer trait, anything applied beforehand will still be there after it activates. It probably does need a nerf to its length though, 8s is a bit long, if it stays as is.

Yea, I thought this was a patch feature to balance wariors, simply have a couple mesmers on our team, but it seems they patched the mesmers already, now wheres the warior patch ?

You conveniently forgot:
Signet of stamina removes ALL conditions on 36 s. cooldown (traited)
6xLyssa runes gives all boons and removes all conditions, when you use elite. Signet of rage has 48 s cooldown (traited)
Those are one of the most powerful condition removal tools compared to any profession. You also didn’t mention warrior traits like dogged march and mobile strikes, which make the warrior shrug off movement impairing conditions with ease.
I love how people on these forums are trying to make their favorite profession to appear as bad as possible to avoid nerfing, which is indeed needed in this case.
Hammer + Sword/warhorn shout warrior has been the WvWvW meta since Autumn 2012 and devs still keep buffing it. Huh!?!

Warriors are a very easy class to play and because of them currently being very balanced, its easy to perceive them as the strongest. I play warrior/guardian/necro and each class definitely has its strengths, and weaknesses. Well played XXX class > Badly played XXX class. I do agree some classes do need more tweaking to become properly balanced on par with where the warrior class is currently.

Do you know what you see? Warrior after Warrior, That use to be Thieves and Ele’s, Ele’s don’t appear nearly that often anymore, and even the amount of Thieves have dropped, but Warriors..You can’t throw a rock without hitting 5 of them in WvW.
People aren’t playing them cause they’re balanced, They’re playing them because they require zero thought and they’re incredibly powerful.

What are people complaining? Warrior actually didn’t get buffed this patch, play/understand the class before spitting such bullkitten on these forums. I’ll break the patch down for you.
What we gained?
-Staggering blow can be used while moving (buff to hammer)
-Vigorous Shouts got buffed with 25% (resulting in a 500-750 extra health/20s depending on your build)
-Trait for shorter CD on shouts is now an adept trait.
What we lost?
-2 conditions get cleared LESS with the warhorn (painful bug fix)
-Empower allies (150+ power) got moved to master
-Sigil of paralization doesn’t round up any more (nerf to hammer)
So if we look at the entire picture, we see we’ll heal a little more but lose 2 very important condition removals, I’ll take those any day over a small heal buff. The mace build got nerfed, but is still viable. The hammer got nerfed and buffed, depending on your build and playstyle it is now stronger/weaker. So we could say it stayed the same. That we now can take the CD reduction for shouts as for the warhorn together is nice, but losing empower allies will hurt many burst builds. The support builds got buffed here and the burst/roamers nerfed.
So overal, the warrior gained some and lost some. I like the changes, and do think Anet did a good job on those. Finally they seem to begin to understand their own game. Only thing I would like to see is that the healing signet ticks every 3s instead of 1s. The total health gained over 21s still has to be the same (+-8300). But this would make it easier to deal with it and to finish off a warrior.
People complaining about the mobility don’t get what a warrior is all about…mobility. We need armor and health, because we need to take all the damage on us, we don’t have protection to mitigate 33% of the damage straight away or a few aegis. We don’t have insane heals to keep standing. We don’t have invisibility to heal up again. So our mechanism is mobility. If we go in, we tank ALL the damage. And armor really doesn’t scale well compared to the amount of damage in this game, definitely condition damage.
A few small fixes and the warrior is in the perfect spot, so stop complaining. A well played thief or mesmer still kills ANY warrior build currently out there. We are not the gods of 1vs1, we are just good noob stompers.

There should be trade offs to each strength…strong armor should equal medium damage and low mobility…weak armor stronger damage with more mobility…how hard is that to understand?

People aren’t complaining that warrior got buffed, people are complaining that warrior didn’t get nerfed. Warriors are all around the best class in the game at the moment.
personally i dont mind seeing warriors around instead of thiefs….

I find warriors that rolfcopter away far more annoying than thieves simply because they can out run everyone. They literally have the best at everything.
Also I main a thief so they arent a problem to deal with for me.

no way thief so much easier to kill just make sure you have a way to interrupt there hs+bp combo and you are good to go. Also when capping camps or towers i’d rather deal with thiefs

I do not consider myself a good PvP player,I play MMO’s like I would Skyrim. I do not look at builds,I slap on what I like,and if it works it works,if it doesn’t I change it up.I find it more interesting that way.
Have not played WvW since Bloodlust was brought in.Anyhow.I took my Engineer in last night.He could solo a camp in a few minutes.He almost died trying twice with another player taking a camp.He had 3 player kills and 3 deaths.
I took my hardly used WvW level 80 Warrior in, and had 47 kills and 3 deaths and got my WvW monthly in one session.The 3 deaths were just me going berserker into a crowd of enemies in a no win situation for the giggles.
I stood at an inner gate of SM hammering, with Gandara dropping hell on my head,and didn’t blink an eyelid.It almost felt like I was cheating.
