GW2: it’s like DAoC, but for the WoW crowd.
The thing I do not understand the most is what right to warriors have to do the damage they do?
ANet acts as if healing is still viable on the lower hitpoint classes. Guardian has low hitpoint not because of Utility (Warrior has just as much) … but because they could heal.
Elementalists have the lowest hitpoints and armor not because of the damage they do (Warrior can do just as much in the same period of time) … but because they could heal.
Well, ANet nerfed the crap out of all the healing at the game and left all the drawbacks on the classes that could heal … just because.
Their class balance is outdated as it was all made of decisions that they have since abandoned.
What i hear the most here is that warriors are so so tanky they can be very tanky but if you do your damage is pretty low. If you go for condi removal if you use your adrenaline you will lose your adrenal health trait which lowers your healing and the conditions against a good opponent will be spammed again before you reach full adrenaline again.
If you go for a shout build with condi removal yes your survivability will be good but again your damage output will stay low.
But but with GS you still have high mobility. Yes you do and WW is good mobility and a dodge indeed but your highest damage dealer is a kittene to do a full hit.
Warriors are the easieast to play but definitely not extremely OP. In 1 vs 1 same skill level mesmer/thief will kill you.
I think the problem is more other classes are harder to play then that warriors are too good in game.

You are talking about war ? Yes they are really good represented in top tier pvp and they didn’t decreased by 800% after the para sigil fix at all(NOT).Sometimes i believe most ppl play Candyland Wars 2 instead of GW2 seriously.
If a warrior is speced right there is no need to fear conditions.

Not all warriors are button mashers. Use to take some skill to run warrior and some of those people are still around

I play engi in WvWvW.
I admit warriors can be tough, but I can take down most of them with patience.
I have more hps than them (Healing Turret heals 2*2520+9s regen (= 1170)2*1320 (Turret blast + Rocket Boots) = 50401170+2640 = 8920 8920/20 = 446 hps).
I can blind them, chill them, stun them with shield #5, and stop him with bombs.
Sure, it’s a long fight. But not a hopeless one.
And one more thing: don’t avoid a warrior running a straight line, but circle around him. Warrior are mobile only when they need to walk in a straight line. And use +condi duration food (as you always should as an engi condi roamer).
Another possibility: Elixir Gun. Perma weakness, Perma bleed, Cripple and Poison. Good luck with that. Use Protection Injection and/or -20% damage when disabled alongside weakness and you won’t fear 100 blades that much anymore, even if weakness gets cleansed.
Warriors have 400 from Healing Signet and another 400/3sec from a trait in the third line. I’m sorry but they still have u beat there. Then factor in that u blew a kitten ton of cds to get that heal and the fact that u still have to avoid the stuns. My only 2 80s are an engineer that I’ve played over 3000 spvp matches w/ and a warrior that is the troll 0/10/30/0/30. Easily swappable into hammer or greatsword. Not complaining cause u’re right, they can be beat but if they decide they want to run away, guess what, their mobility trumps urs too.
If the war doesn’t use his adrenaline every 7 seconds, he is not a threat at all. His adrenaline bar shouldn’t spend much time full. Especially if he doesn’t hit you.
Probably you should halve the healing value.
And I didn’t blew many cds. Rocket Boots is on the same cd. I use it mostly out of combat to move faster, and because I need a source of burning, but I need the shield aswell (I’m looking at you, thieves! :P). If I realize the enemy can immobilize me, I save it, and use F1+Rocket Boots (that should work).
Yeah, if they want to run away they’ll do. But I play as a roamer. 90% of the time right now people try to run away to reach a group of more of them. So I’m kinda forced not to chase people.
At first I sympathized with warriors glad to see they are actually having a good run after a long time of being under-powered in wvw but this is ridiculous. I would even go as far as saying this needs a quick patch right away.
Warriors have clearly stolen the nerf hammer and is now using it to beat everyone else into the ground.
Warriors have never been underpowered in wvw and they haven’t even been buffed that much
