Right now, whether you’re in a zerg or with smaller roaming group, once you fall of the map or die for whatever reason, it’s often impossible to get back to your teammates.

The map is big and a little complicated with limited ways of traveling routes to certain positions. It really becomes impossible when certain objectives flip and there’s nobody to help you flip it back.

I find this the biggest flaw in this map design, and hopefully this will get attention. It should be possible to rejoin your guildies or teammates again with some more ease. Enable waypoint building or something.

Its not so bad on the borderlands and eb, because most people are in an organized group. I think there would actually be incentive to hold towers if wps were introduced, which is a good thing.
Oh yeah, and make gates invuln to player attacks (only siege).

I really REALLY hope they don’t add WPs. There needs to be more consequences to dieing. With WPs you can make it back to a fight before it’s even over lol. Furthermore having to run back encourages small scale action.

Yeah no wps please. One of the best things ive heard about ESO’s rvr is the size of the map so you can get in some small scale inbetween the large castle fights

I just fail to understand the logic behind “WPs = zergs”. You die, you run back. It’s the same for people running in groups of 5 as it for people running in groups of 30+.

Waypoints give too much freedom for people to retaliate against attacks, to get to positions must faster than they should be able to.

It isn’t about the deaths and having to run back, it is about having an entire mass of people just whip across the map at a moments notice….this encourages players to simply group up into blobs since they have quick and easy access to wherever they need to go without consequence.

Lost me here. Having access to a waypoint hardly encourages blobbing. It’s the other silly mechanics like the AoE cap and ridiculous amount of HP walls/gates have that cause people to stick together. Don’t get me wrong, I completely agree that being able to harass a structure with little downtime is detrimental to the flow of a battle, but then again so is sneezing on a gate to contest a waypoint.

I have been playing green and the keep wp is utterly pointless…

Its far, far too close to the starting spawn wp.

The green keep wp should be moved so its further into the centre.

Spending 95% going from A to B and only 5% fighting is BORING.

I like having a map where attrition matters.
I suppose it just depends on your play style though.

I find lots of small fights on my way back to the blob (which is even more fun than the main fight IMHO).

-Waypoints make it easier to zerg. When you can port close to the zerg, it is easier to zerg.

I know a lot of Riot came from 8man DaoC. Ask them what it would be like if you could port right to other borderlands / keeps. Having less waypoints and making people run back forces them into the open field, where small scale encounters can happen.

Running from the blue spawn when the keep is contested is painful.
Why make one color (blue) so much farther from the action than the other 2?

If you played wvw you would know instant reinforcements is one if the main issues of the original maps.

ALL IS VAIN.
PvP modes are the “endgame” in all MMOs.
Stop failing at PvE, and fix WvW/SPvP. Thank you.
