“In light of guilds not wanting to publicly display losses, but still wanting to improve their kitten, I thought it would make things a little more competitive for guilds if there was a type of ranking system. This may not work, but it will be similar to sports Power Polling like College Football or NFL, etc. Please click this link and rank these NA GvG guilds in order.

Results will be posted. I apologize if your guild is not listed. If you feel it should be, reply to this topic and I’ll add you to the next poll.
These rankings are based on both 15v15 and 20v20 GvGs, and its basically just your opinion on who the best guilds really are. If you think another poll should be added for 5s and 10s, then go kittenin start your own post.

Voting is anonymous, but individual submissions are recorded. Rankings that have statistical outliers (like putting EP/Agg last), or voting other guilds far outside of the average range are thrown out.

I find it amusing that I’ve never heard of or seen the 1st, 4th, 5th guilds prior to today. Oh well, guess I’m out of the loop.

I remember league and constant roflstomping low-tier guilds by high tier guilds. You want to tell me that everything is different now?

My guess is that many people think TW and Choo were trying to hide in ETOM and then intentionally tanked to a lower tier to find easier fights. That probably lowered their rankings when people were voting.

If you don’t know who the guilds are read the description the author did a good job of describing recent achievements of the guilds.

Also, imo if guild cannot field force enough for fight blobs alone – this guild not earned place above guilds who can.

Quality over quantity. Being able to field 40+ does not impress anyone.

GvG must reflect real ability to manage guild zerg in field, not small group of chosen individuals from roster. 20 ppl barely can manage real blob, 15 will likely be roflstomped. I always was for 25 ppl as standard format for GvG (for T1 it’s more like 30-40, but 25 is good solid raid size for good wvw guild).

Gvg has never been about having more players or being able to wipe a 40-60 man zerg.

It’s about 2 guilds sending their 15-20 best players to fight to the death not to simulate zerg busting.

Think a lot of people didn’t heed the “take it with a grain of salt” warning when the results were posted. As someone pointed out earlier on the thread on gw2wvw, it’s very possible that some voted for a few guilds, and left the others as they were, considering that the vast majority are within 1-2 slots of how they were default ranked before the voter proceeds to reorder.

Also that poll was only up for what? All of a day?
