Were we actually PvDooring or is that just more internet QQ. I haven’t played for about 9 hours and when I logged off we were around +400PPT with a zerg of about 60 SoR and 40 SoS getting around EB.

Not that I was there to say for sure,
But in my experience, if the opposing servers have any force what-so-ever on a map, they will be able to either hold or backcap at least a LITTLE territory

It was likely mostly PvDoor with a few stragglers not able to do anything.

Well your experience is different from mine. Ive experienced pushing servers off the map when they outnumber you.

Pushing a server completely off a map is impossible if they have a somewhat small force because they can just hold their supply camp that is a 30 second run from their spawn. The only way to get a 695 tick is if their is literally no one in WvW or if people are just doing jumping puzzles.

This is a very very sad day for wvw. Very sad day indeed.

It is like Greece without Persia. It is like China without Mongolians. It is like Rome without Carthage. It is like USA without USSR. Where’s the fun in that?

Anet should work on changing wvw into 4 teams asap. Surely the combined forces of SoR+BG+Kain can provide SOME kind of challenge to JQ.

Got it man, as do I. I really enjoyed facing BG when they were up here a few weeks ago. I was referring to a member of a certain guild chest thumping on the first page. Nothing but respect for the vast majority of BG. Best of luck, and looking forward to some renewed competition.

I’ve been on JQ since BWE, can’t speak for other people/guilds. I know I continued to WvW in spite of being beaten for weeks and weeks by SoS, and never considered transferring off. In case you didn’t notice, i’m not ‘President of JQ’, so you can go ahead and take my opinion for exactly what it is…my opinion.

Hope you guys bring as much in game as you bring to the boards, I thought our JQ trolls were bad, but at least they were performing in game as well.

Also, the comment about a 695 tick only being possible if there “is literally no one in WvW” is untrue as well. I saw a screenshot recently of a SOR player present in WvW outside of the jumping puzzle near their spawn point while JQ held such a tick.

We really don’t talk smack. If you want evidence of that, look at the past 3 weeks in Tier 2. We have the longest running match thread without a lock in the history of GW2. Any talk about coverage is speculation until we see how things actually shake out on the field. Regardless, I hope for the best competition yet against JQ and I trust that you will go to the greatest lengths to remain respectful and honorable opponents.

I miss being #2, it gave a sense of wanting to beat the 1st player, made me want to play. I probably say this because I’ve logged like 1-2 hrs everyweek for the past month or two – dat hardcore burnout.

So now when I log in, check the millenium scores, look at the forums, it feels like I didn’t do anything because I was logged in when we went from #2 to #1. That might be why I miss being #2.

But whatever, I just hope JQ keeps a sense of sportsmanship and doesn’t post this kind of stuff anymore. I’ll be back sooner or later JQ! And I’ll be ready to give myself another harcore burnout!

Yea you were pushed back to spawn on one map not all four maps simultaneously which resulted in a 0 point tick. This is literally impossible to do if another server has a small force because they can just switch maps.

and whats that single SOR player gonna do, take a sentry? besides if he’s after the jp then he doesn’t count anyway. Im not saying it cant be done on one map, but every map at once from both servers? cmon, if we had decent numbers it wouldn’t have happened. If you get pushed back to spawn with a queue that can only mean one of three things… Too many pvers after the jumping puzzle, really really crap leadership, or 2v1.

Needless to say any imbalance in the WvW is bad for both winners and losers as it affects their gameplay. Winning without challenge aka PvDooring and getting stomped all the time at the other end it is a game breaker, people lose interest after a while and eventually move on.

You can to an extent, when it was clear that JQ far outnumbered any other server in the game before free transfers ended they where still blacking out there server to stack more people on it. Even after frees ended they where still trying to get guild over there.

I hope for the health of the game that BG can stack as much as jq has but i have my doubts .

because just being competitive is boring, yay for steamrolling t1 servers

It can happen, SoS manned up and knew what needed to be done and did it, It will take a third, either SoR or Kaineng to be next to grab some coverage from someone ( eachother and that would balance a lot more than it has been. I’m not even positive BG has close to the coverage to take JQ but we have much better than we had last trip to T1 thanks to SoS
