Kaineng finally makes a rare push into EB, taking Mendons, Veloka, Pangloss, Speldan, and on the way to taking Overlook. We do even battle with NSP for 60-90 minutes I reckon.
Then DR vultures(“merc” guild or something) come in with 10-15 and takes Pangloss and another group takes Speldan TOTALLY screwing us over, and not 150 seconds later NSP rolls in with 30 and cleans up the remaining(not many thanks to DR) kaineng forces.
attached pics are 5 minutes apart, didn’t get one of red owning the north beforehand
Why does this need to happen? I’m pretty sure the intention for WvWvW is for the 2 underdogs to aim for the big one, not the 1st and 2nd place fighting for the scraps of 3rd. Seriously, it doesn’t take a military genius to attack NSP from 2 directions.
They’ve been doing that back when we were facing Fergusson and Borlis pass too.
Could be they want a fair fight and ignore NSP seen it happen to a few small groups I been in ignored the NSP camps and went straight for ours.
A couple days ago same things happened. DR at its finest. Everyone’s got it in for Kaineng, but Kaineng don’t care. Number 1 server fo life.
NSP can own practically the entire map and Devona’s Rest still attacks Kaineng
>_>
DR are a bunch of superbads…
I’ve yet to see this happen, usually two sides gang up on the weaker side because its EASY, you farm kills and points. Thats how people tend to be, go the easier path.
This is common. #2 usually attacks #3.
There are two reasons for this:
1) They realize they can’t catch up to #1 but they CAN make sure that they keep #2 by beating down #3.
2) Given the choice between attacking a fully armed and upgraded keep, bristling with cannons, mortars, catapults, arrow carts, more cannons and trebuchets OR your freshly conquered tower with doors made from balsa wood, they’d rather attack you. At least it’s easy points.
.
There may be something to be said here for not having a Planetside/Battleground Europe style “matrix” that determines where teams can attack. The screenshot shows how blue went aaaall the way across the map, past green, through red, to attack a supply camp that they have no connection to.
In Planetside and Battleground Europe, this is impossible. You must attack things you are adjacent to. Both games launched like GW2 did, where you could go anywhere and attack anything but both games implemented a matrix to prevent precisely this kind of thing. It turns into a problem.
But it’s not easier. It’s exactly the same as going to NSP borderlands and backdooring their camps, which we do all the time to good effect, easily.
I agree about the planetside/BGE “frontline” concept though.
No idea what happened in EB tonight but PTX faced TBH and took back some Tier 3 towers and finally (whew) the Garrison which had at least 15-25 individual siege (ballistas/arrow carts) in our home map :P
Should be interesting to see the matchups for next week eh?
