What can Anet do to encourage server pop balance?

Close WvW, work on it, make a real game of it, relaunch it when it’s playable…
It’s not just about ranking, the WvW concept needs lots of work, to me it’s obvious it was thrown in there with more or less thinking into it, more like they felt like they had to put it in…
Spawn camping is rampant, never seen a game survive that…
Keeping all guild upgrades/rep would definitely help. Only if the guild is moving to a server with shorter WvW queues, of course.

- For the server that has low population in WvW and have trouble keeping up, popup a message for the local spider-farming folk asking them if they want to join wvw to help
- Player X Y and Z should have the same amount of slots available to join WvW. Right now i have a very vague feeling it isn’t like that. Let’s say i am from server Z and even coordinating ppl, i see a ton of X and Y players… When players try to join and try to make our odds equal…a big “que message” appears…which tells me X and Y took our spots. Limits have to be imposed.
- Start matching up servers NOT ONLY on score but also on daytime/nighttime pressance AND WvW active population overall…otherwise u will always have 1 sever exterminating 2.
Right now WvW is not fun and in time discourages anyone to play. Either the map is empty because u win everything and u are limited to random supply skirmishes or puzzles OR u get stomped and let’s be serious…. I won’t waste time in a game that should be leasure/fun but instead getting stomped 10 to 1, or bored because the map is empty. I prefer exiting the game and playing something else.

Haha, that would be awesome… a pvp window opening up in PVE to bring folks into WvW!
Give (small) stat increases when you are outnumbered by more than 25% in a zone, give scaling xp/karma/gf/mf modifiers directly scaling with how outnumbered you are (25% gives a 25% buff, 100% gives a 100% buff etc) up to a limit (4-500% should be ok). This will give a huge incentive to go out and fight even if you’re losing as each kill and supply camp/tower/keep take is worth significantly more than for the opposing teams.

WvW is great as it is. As a guild we’re spending most of our time at WvW and still not bored. There are a lot room for improvements, however even as it is, it’s alot of fun. And just by looking at the queues and how much of the player base is participating in that, it’s fun is proven.

There are 3 exists from each spawn point, you know that right?

Offer a 100% Karma Boost for the duration of the next week long match for High Pop servers transferring to low pop servers, give a list of what ones would be most suggested based on the data ArenaNet has gathered, and then lock transfers after enough of them go through.
Guild rep is the only think keeping our guild on Stormbluff.

Just provide rewards to people that play on the side that needs help. Give them a 30 minute buff where every kill or assist drops a bag of undermanned goods, and every successful DE rewards an even better loot bag. And have a way to check if you can get the buff while you’re outside of WvW. If you put that in, people will even server transfer to chase the loot.
