What determines being in combat?
Cleansing Ire requires the burst skills to hit to cleanse if I remember correctly. The cleanse on-swap sigils may also require a nearby target. I’ve never run any, however.
If you are not regenerating health, you are in combat.
Someone can hit you once and be hiding right behind that wall and you’ll stay in combat because they’re still within the range. There’s also a small timer component after breaking the range. The distance is roughly 1200 or so before you can OOC from what I understand.

Ok, this makes sense, because as per tooltip it removes conditions for every bar spent when you hit a target.

With weapons swapping I was referring to warriors trait Brawler’s Recovery (Remove conditions when you swap weapons. Combat only.). No idea how that should work, in the end I changed it already to Destruction of the Empowered. Brawler’s Recovery seems to be crap.

That’s the problem. Sometimes I get conditions, I disengage, I swap weapons and nothing happens even though my hp doesn’t regenerate, I have dots on me and there is a horde of enemies below. Using burst also doesn’t do a thing, but ok, I missed the part when it says you have to hit someone.
“Because I am pretty sure my hp doesn’t regen.”
… when I disengage as a warrior …
Hahahaha, good joke there. Sort of like saying I’m pretty sure my reaper cant stack condi. If your warrior isnt ticking 1000 hp a second on zerker gear, you’re doing it wrong.
being in combat reset from 2500 range to a physical hit. con keep you in combat until they are cleared.

^^ This. Range is really important for losing combat.

I’m not really sure how it works, but I’ve definitely OOC’ed at closer than 2500. Max range IR (1200) usually does it within a few seconds of not being attacked/attacking.
