What do the winning teams do?
Some will spawn camp, but most of them don’t participate either.
GW2 is quickly becoming a weekend only game.

The answer is nothing, I was in a small guild with friends and the ones left that still play (all 2 of them) transferred to JQ so I went along with them knowing nothing about the server to find out they owned 95-100% of the map so I would never go into WvW because there was no fun so I transferred to a server a few tiers down and going into WvW is actually fun again. I don’t see why people want to be on those big zerg servers, in my opinion you don’t gain anything from it other than not losing, there is no fun and you will literally run around for hours doing basically nothing.
I’m on Blackgate… yesterday in WvW, I ran the jumping puzzle in EB, spent about 2 hours portaling people up to the jumping puzzle with my mesmer. I killed the grub, killed the spirit, killed the grub, killed the spirit, killed the grub, killed the spirit, HOLY KITTENS! AN INVADER! I waved at the invader and then we danced together. His friends showed up and we all danced together. And then they all killed me and I laughed. Then I killed the grub again…
So yeah, totally exciting!
I’m on Ring of Fire, so I also have no idea what a winning side does :-)
I’ve seen a few people around these parts that say they hate it when they get night capped and lose all their stuff by morning. Oh hell no. If you don’t lose your stuff, theres nothing to do. It can make a player stupid and bored. On Maguuma its a regular thing to lose everything by morning. We will almost assuredly lose to any server that has significantly higher WvW attendance around the clock but sometimes I wonder. Is it really a bad thing?
You learn a tonne about how this game works by starting small and building up over and over again, testing yourself against strong opponents. Its a great way to develop leadership instincts.
Its a fluid thing if you start with a small group and people slowly join you. You can’t do a whole lot when vastly outnumbered but you can’t lose much either. Its great for building the confidence you need to project on your team.
