Our server called it W(est) K(eep), EK, and Garry.

I suspect most use Bay and Hills. Other variations I’ve heard include Left and Right keep, 270 degree and 90 degree keep, Democrat and Republican keep, Obama and Bush keep.

NA servers I’ve been on: Garri, Bay, Hills – German EU server: Mittelfeste Home, Bucht, Hügel

Germans like their stuff uncomplicated that’s why they don’t use wg (although that’s misleading as bay also has a watergate) for wurmgate bay nor Wurmtor which would be the correct German translation, no they say “Würmchentor Bucht” (minimization of wurm) So you can imagine that it takes at least thrice as long to call out enemies in Germany ;)

Edit: There’s also no abbreviations for enemies but their names are usually minimized as well.

Using cardinal directions is a lost cause. Too many people are stupid.

on Dragonbrand it’s always been bay and hills. with the addition of some Maguuma players to DB i see EK and WK every once in a while.

Those were joke names just invented.

Snowreap.5174 covered it for those of us on Ebay. When we get new players in Wvw, they use the names on the map, but since those change with what color you are that week, we ask them to keep it simple and use cardinal directions. EBG is always the same, so names are used, usually abbreviated, like Brav, QL, SM, Spel, OW, Vel, etc.

Because saying EK and WK is saving any time from just saying Hills and Bay???
We use simply Hills, Bay, Garri.

Because so many get them confused (really? really…?) they tend to be jokingly called Hay and Bills in SF.

For a few days we used sailing ship directions because no one could agree on terms less confusing.

Port keep, starboard keep. Port bow tower, starboard stern camp, etc…

On Piken Square, I’ve seen Garri, Bay, Hills for the keeps. North camp is almost always just north camp. For other camps and towers I’ve seen both cardinal directions (mostly for camps) and (shortened) names, including the names from other Borderlands. :-)

EB stuff is called by its name, the keeps are named after the server spawn, so “our keep” or just “keep”, " DZ keep" “FoW Keep” even if the server does not own it.

We call them green.

On SBI we call them Bay, Hills and Garri.

For the towers and camps the people who play on the BLs often use cardinal directions (NE, NW, SE, SW, NN, South). The people who play mostly on EB often the actual names of the towers and camps which are map-specific and confuse the BL players.

There is always discussion about how “NN” is redundant, but we still keep calling it that.

In the keeps, we use cardinal directions for gates and walls (s.hills, ne garri, etc.) with some special names like “wg” (water gate) in garri and bay and worm gate in bay.
