I have been recently testing foods and doing maths behind my choices. Currently, I notice almost all commanders drop Lemongrass Poultry Soup or Saffron Bread. Which I think arent the best for various reasons.

So what do you drop for your militia and why?

When running with 10 players or less our food varies. Omnomberry Bread, Lemongrass Poultry Soup, and Mango Pies are the most common with just 2 parties. When running with 20 or more it’s always a tray of Omnomberry Compotes.

We always change food based on what classes we have available and we always run defensive foods.

Everyone likes pizza.

Most people carry their own food, but most use some form of -condi duration. Depends on who we are facing too. Against most its usually Poultry and Leek but against say Maguuma, most use Roasted Lotus Root as it seems as soon as we load up a map that we are getting hit with stun fields. Mags! Why so many eles? :P

What are your reasons against those foods?

Most people are running Bowl of Lemongrass Poultry Soup:

-40% condition duration
+70 Vitality
+10 Experience from kills.

While our condition built players run Rare Veggie Pizza:

+40% condition duration
+70 Condition Damage
+10 Experience from kills

which is the opposite of the Lemongrass.

As a guild we take donations of all of the ingredients for both and make pots/trays that are dropped regularly. We encourage our members to go hit the 5-6 potential lemongrass nodes while waiting in queue for example and deposit them in the bank at which point someone with the recipes makes the pots.

Omnomberry Compote. Unbeatable. Surprised more guilds don’t run this as well.

Lemongrass primarily. I see trays of compote dropped sometimes too, but I don’t carry it. The thing about on kill effects is you need a snowball effect to take place for it to be meaningful, where other options provide immediate and consistent benefits. Although admittedly, when that snowball gets rolling it can be pretty powerful.

now all they have to do is give the foods interesting names to make this thread really creepy.
