Guild Wars 2

Title says it all. I want to see GOOD things that will come about because of leagues. All I see is negative posts left and right. Surely this isn’t a repeat of bloodlust is it?

I think the competition in NA league 2 will be decent. League 1 will be lame/useless.

well now that they’ve split it into 3 leagues for NA it should be a lot better, hopefully with more stable matches and more of a campaign feel.

Awesome, I totally missed it.

Would still prefer 4 of 6 … but it’s something, at the least.

oh thank goodness, was worried there for a bit I would have to go outside in the rain over the next few weeks to avoid the PvD vs lower population servers. 6 NA teams in the gold league makes a lot more sense for the sake of competition. Delaying the start of the League is a good thing as well as they might actually get more better data on the Bloodlust buff and have time to tone it down a bit before things getting going <fingers crossed> and then they can delay it again far enough to avoid happening in the middle of this years Mad King Thorn event.

What is this? The gulf between 1-3 and 4-6 is ABSURD. At least under 12 servers per league the T1 servers will be pressured to de-stack. All this change does is kill off servers 4-6 because they will never get a good matchup for the ENTIRE SEASON.

To be fair, server 4-6 haven’t got a good fight in a long time. Not only the gap between 1-3 and 4-6 is big, but gaps among 4-6 themselves is big as well, not to mention the difference between t2 and t3….

Very little. The vast majority want fun gameplay, fun WvW/PVP, not more rewards for enduring lopsided beatings.

Thinking that most servers and players are going to accept or want to get beatdown for 7 weeks, just to be thrown a ‘token for participating’ lower grade reward than the best population/coverage server in each tier gets, is almost a sign of give up from the dev team, if they think that is what WvW is missing.
