I feel horrible about the players that are left on SoR just wondering what the hell happened. Wish BG would stop buying so many guilds and even lose some to SoR. Maybe we could have some fun, even matchups again ’cause this sh*ts getting old.

Actually, SoR is still alive and well. We fight for bags, not points. Why? Because what did being #1 get BG? A bunch of mercenary guilds that will eventually kill the server and 250 dolyak finishers. What did SoR get? Thousands upon thousands of bags that we farmed off of the other servers because that’s what we do. We don’t care about points, since… they’re pointless.

We are letting BG and JQ fight over PPT. All of our guilds are happily fighting in EOTM.

If you are on SoR, you need to go talk to your guilds on your server/join TS to learn about what’s happening to your server. Apparently all your “for fights” guilds decide they get more fun stomping pugs in EoTM than fighting wvw for their server. So they are essentially stop playing WvW for now. This has nothing to do with BG or JQ (BG hasn’t got any guilds since season 1 and JQ got couple guilds from SoR), but rather your server’s unhealthy “fights only, laugh at others who care about objectives” culture.

I think it is unhealthy because what you are doing is hurting your community in the long run. It maybe o.k. for those of your guilds that only care about fights, but by deriding others that want to play differently, you’re are completely neglecting your server mates that may want to experience proper WvW/or simply just new to WvW.

What a lot of you are doing is all about you rather than community pride, which is really against the spirit of the RvR game mode. Heck you even begin to see posts like this popping up from your own server mates that are left in the dark.

look all stop talking crap honestly. it wont help you win in anyway. SoR will drop few tiers it happened to almost all servers at some point. they just have to pick up and rebuild.

In all honestly while the “for fights” thing is fun in the moment, it might as well be “we don’t have non prime time coverage so we just don’t give a kitten.” Why even bother trying to compete for ppt when bg/jq just have such a ridiculous advantage there.

I’m a science grad student so although I live in NA I have really weird play hours. When I log on during Oceanic or European hours the wvw maps pretty much look like above. At least it leaves a lot of stuff for SoR roamers/havoc squads to take.

I don’t mind bag farming, it’s a good time. More fun than worrying about ppt all the time imo. Just wish bg/jq would actually fight back more and not think of wvw as some glorified pve area. I remember the one time we farmed so many jq that wanted the chest from the champion wurm soooo bad =D

Really? HIRE just spent 4 hours in EOTM fighting DIE. They were on the blue side too. SoS is blue this week.

They’d rather fight pugs in EoTM instead of fighting the actual JQ/BG guilds. But hey being farmed 24/7 by BG/JQ for months on end got demoralizing to SoR. So I can’t really blame all the guilds who have left or died on SoR.

Its not really toxic…everyone is having a ton of fun in EOTM….. Im 100% sure that whichever servers moves up to tier 1 to replace SOR will just sit in EOTM for that week.

I don’t think “play for fights” as a way of play is unhealthy, there are many guilds on various servers do that (and yes even on BG and JQ, you know one of the best “for fights” guild, APeX, is on BG), and all good for them if that’s how they get their enjoyment.

I don’t know much about that, since I usually do a better job than I am tonight of staying away from the forums, but I don’t doubt that it happened. Still, as an active member of the SoR WvW community, I can’t remember the last time I saw someone derided for wanting to hold points. The lack of desire shouldn’t be confused with the lack of sustaining against JQ and BG mobs.

It’s going to be an endless cycle of sacrificial lambs going into T1 for the week until JQ/BG destack or another server stacks. Easiest way is just to sit in EOTM until JQ and BG get bored.

I feel bad for anyone left on SoR that wants to play WvW…it’s completely ridiculous to either be stuck in weeks / months of glicko hell as everyone quits, or pay to transfer. Same business ripped SoS a year ago this time, the PPT lovers all transferring to BG while many of the fighters went to SoR. For that matter SoS is looking an awful lot like a refugee camp these days.

I hope TC wants to be in T1, because I don’t think FA or SoS really wants to fight those blobs.

SoR falling to t2 is the best thing to happen to us. I guess you would have to play here to understand that.

No one in SoR was ever, to my knowledge, publicly derided for disagreeing with the “for fights” mentality. Our guilds don’t poke fun at people for wanting to PPT (well, we all poke fun at guildies). We simply don’t partake in their endeavor, and make our stance known. Players are more than welcome to stay, but we won’t stress winning the PPT race. Rallians who pursue PPT, do so by choice, and are hopefully aware of where major guilds stand.

This is also not a new mentality. Back when SoR was stuck in the #5 slot, getting rolled by BG’s off hours, the bigger guilds in SoR realized that regardless how hard they tried, how many BG they killed, or how many structures they upgraded, coverage would win. Given recent developments, we’ve simply re-adapted to our old ways, since it’s plainly obvious we don’t have the numbers or coverage that BG and JQ currently enjoy. If people are looking to PPT, I’m sorry to say, but the current SoR won’t suit your needs. That’s just the way it is.

thank you so much for your concern. In short, we on sor stopped caring about PPT 5+ months ago when we refused to bid on other guilds and saw said guilds go over to other stacked servers. We decided to simply play to kill our enemies. I understand that it’s not fun for you to take empty towers and keeps, but we aren’t playing to entertain you. PPT isn’t important to us in the least, and lecturing us about what’s against the “spirit of rvr” (lol) isn’t going to make us enjoy pvdoor any more. taa taa!

It is interesting that it seems the majority of people who ‘Feel sorry for SoR’ are people who aren’t on SoR. And I certainly don’t recall SoR looking for pity. So we might see a scenario down to road where a few servers take turns being rolled by JQ/BG every week. That sure beats being rolled by them every week, right? I don’t get what all the complaining is about.

The people in this thread that are complaining about BG buying guilds, do realize that BG has been marked as a Full Server since the start of the Leagues. And if we look at the information provided from Anet, as a Full Server BG can’t gain people nor guilds, as no one is able to transfer to BG even if they wanted to. Now if we look at SoR some of their guilds are fighting in EotM as some of the SoR server players stated above, but a high portion of SoR got absorbed by JQ e.g. SoX, LUN and a handful of Oceanic Guilds. On top of that JQ has gained/bought some mid-tier NA guilds e.g. one of them being Karma [KA] a large NA PvX from CD. JQ can keep denying this fact, but no matter the case, those in T1 that have brains know the truth. If people wonder how JQ has managed to keep up in NA T1 since BETA, it’s because a portion of their SEA time zone is gold sellers, so they are happily gaining gold and buying guilds. Just because a server is marked as full that doesn’t mean that its full of WvW players, people have to realize that there is a PvE population and a PvP population as well. SoR is a server that has withstood so much neither BG nor JQ can compete with what they have been through. The one thing that I find funny in this thread is that JQ is making up “excuses” for BG, its like BG can’t do it on their own. Out of the current T1 servers SoR is the one that deserves to stay no matter their size and time zone coverage, neither BG nor JQ deserve to be in T1 at all. And lets not forget the infamous NS on JQ that has reformed from TKG and Agg, since the current NS happily stole builds from Agg they are face-rolling the GvG scene in T1. These few up-coming weeks are going to be very interesting for T1 NA. The hell with JQ and BG, both servers are full with siege monkeys and pansies we need more EU guilds to go to SoR and harden us up.

What world do you live in, SoR moved into EotM because even the random pugs want to fight, all BG/JQ do is sit and hide in a tower and take turn spamming AC’s, you never come out and fight, and when you do get caught outside the safety walls, you rush to build as many open field AC’s as possible,

I would have thought BG/JQ would have been over joyed with the current setup, as none of you actually want to fight us on SoR and now you can just run from door to door and avoid each other all day long, its a win for all servers,

SoR gets to farm drops from killing enemies
BG/JQ get to beat down doors for PPT for bragging rights about winning that week.

So in short don’t worry about SoR where doing great, just go back to your normal game play beating down doors, must make it hard for you to try a 2v1 when the 1 isn’t playing huh………..

Yea I like this I know some from a guild move JQ bought recently crying on TS before they moved about JQ playing for PPT and not fighting, and now they do the exact same, gold can do amazing things in this game.

BG and JQ do the exact same thing. Just ask many of the guilds from outside T1, they’ve been approached at some point by BG/JQ (especially JQ) about coming to their server. Both servers are into pooling gold for transfer assistance (part of their selling point when approaching guilds).

Also, no matter how much SoR wants to drop to Tier 2, they’ll be vaulted back up to T1 with the coverage they have. Want to drop to tier 2? Lose some of that ocx/sea. HIRE, GC, NYS, AT, Hi, Ph, BAD and all those other tiny korean/taiwanese guilds (BT, Saty, ZerO etc) that help you form a big 50 man float team. Way too big for T2.

I feel horrible about the players that are left on SoR just wondering what the hell happened. Wish BG would stop buying so many guilds and even lose some to SoR. Maybe we could have some fun, even matchups again ’cause this sh*ts getting old.

No offense, but you really need to learn to gather facts before you make statements. If you are on SoR, you need to go talk to your guilds on your server/join TS to learn about what’s happening to your server. Apparently all your “for fights” guilds decide they get more fun stomping pugs in EoTM than fighting wvw for their server. So they are essentially stop playing WvW for now. This has nothing to do with BG or JQ (BG hasn’t got any guilds since season 1 and JQ got couple guilds from SoR), but rather your server’s unhealthy “fights only, laugh at others who care about objectives” culture.

Is it unhealthy because you and a handful of other forum warriors from BG say it’s unhealthy? I’m curious about the research that has gone into this perspective.

I think it is unhealthy because what you are doing is hurting your community in the long run. It maybe o.k. for those of your guilds that only care about fights, but by deriding others that want to play differently, you’re are completely neglecting your server mates that may want to experience proper WvW/or simply just new to WvW.

What a lot of you are doing is all about you rather than community pride, which is really against the spirit of the RvR game mode. Heck you even begin to see posts like this popping up from your own server mates that are left in the dark.

thank you so much for your concern. In short, we on sor stopped caring about PPT 5+ months ago when we refused to bid on other guilds and saw said guilds go over to other stacked servers. We decided to simply play to kill our enemies. I understand that it’s not fun for you to take empty towers and keeps, but we aren’t playing to entertain you. PPT isn’t important to us in the least, and lecturing us about what’s against the “spirit of rvr” (lol) isn’t going to make us enjoy pvdoor any more. taa taa!

They’d rather fight pugs in EoTM instead of fighting the actual JQ/BG guilds. But hey being farmed 24/7 by BG/JQ for months on end got demoralizing to SoR. So I can’t really blame all the guilds who have left or died on SoR.

What world do you live in, SoR moved into EotM because even the random pugs want to fight, all BG/JQ do is sit and hide in a tower and take turn spamming AC’s, you never come out and fight, and when you do get caught outside the safety walls, you rush to build as many open field AC’s as possible,

I would have thought BG/JQ would have been over joyed with the current setup, as none of you actually want to fight us on SoR and now you can just run from door to door and avoid each other all day long, its a win for all servers,

SoR gets to farm drops from killing enemies
BG/JQ get to beat down doors for PPT for bragging rights about winning that week.

SoR is used to leaving real fights to go farm pugs, you guys run to EBG which is full of JQ/BG random militia anytime you get wiped.

Now you just go to EoTM instead to go farm casuals from lower tiers because you are sick of getting wiped by actual organized forces. But keep PvDooring in EoTM and fighting super casuals while acting like you are better than everyone else.

As far as I know, no big guilds transferred to FA, if that was the case, the score would be different.

Doubt anyone in TC wants to fight t1. Queued on every map, no choice on which map you get to play on. Gratz you guild gets the map that has to defend. Only server blobs and havoc squads few few roamers in the t1 servers.
