I quit playing gw2 since july of 2014, and i got back into it about a week ago. When i quit there would almost always be a queue to join Eternal Battlegrounds, and half the time a queue for the borderlands on Jade Quarry, but now i find that we are always outnumbered? Is this just Jade Quarry, have guilds transfered over somewhere else, or is this game wide, and just a lot of people quit?

Meh. Same match ups…with BG and Tarnish Coast….not much fun anymore. Getting stale. We need a fresh WvW model.

The WvW population has indeed been plummeting for quite a while. On JQ the most dire time zone is SEA – it’s almost deserted. Overall it’s currently the least populated T1 server, but there’s still activity at certain times.

Mostly it’s just a matter of indifference. I don’t think Anet even realizes how little players care about PPT at this point. For the majority (of T1 at least), it only serves to maintain the tier – no one cares if they’re 1st, 2nd or 3rd.
We just want to fight. Commanders from different servers arrange times to be online in order to fight each other (with guild or PUGs). This is the last bit of entertainment left in WvW and you don’t need to maintain a population 24/7 to do it.

anet olny pays attention to pve-liveing story and the advertisements based around liveing story

we have got the seige disabler as a cheep soultion to wvw

P.S. liveing story is nothing like the advertisements make it sound
yes it is nice but it is just enough to get new commers and keep them interested for short term

a lot of people don’t even notice the wvw bonuses you get in the PvE world, I wonder if making that more clear and/or make it have a bigger impact would help.

I think JQ will be just fine.

BG was ticking 60ish some hours ago, while JQ were ticking around 500ish. People are just burned out.

Drastic changes are necessary.

Yaks bend is the only server in NA to play the ppt game…they flat out ignore fights to go ppt. Plus bg/tc are trying hard to not let jq fall. No one wants to fight yaks bend.

Nearly all the hardcore WvW players I started out with or even picked up through my travels have quit.

I don’t log into the game but once a month.

The game has become stale, same ol’ same kitten day after day therefore a large number of people have simply moved on.

I think JQ SEA left to play Archeage

I think it’s boredom/burnout. It’s pretty stale in T1 when you know your opponents are going to be BG/JQ/TC week after week after week. Trouble is, our populations are so stacked that none of the other servers can compete with us. (It would just be a total steamroll.)

I’m not being salty. I have a friend on yaks bend who tells me what commanders say. Most have said “we play for ppt, not for fights.”
There are guilds that are “fight” guilds but I see them focusing FA and ppt.
Just makes t2 kinda boring when it just becomes t1 gameplay of blobs of
