“There Is No Shame In Not Knowing; the Shame Lies In Not Finding Out.”
What is WvW Philosophy?
“There Is No Shame In Not Knowing; the Shame Lies In Not Finding Out.”
It was supposed to be merely a stepping stone to help move players from PvE towards sPvP. Turned out, it was much more popular than sPvP due to its open world/play-how-you-want nature. Unfortunately, Anet did not seem to ever recognize or take advantage this.
Assuming the OP’s post is a legit question:

Short version:
For some of us who came from a game that set a standard for community group-oriented PvP (e.g. DAoC and RvR), we are trying to find a remnant of the old strategic realm pride game we loved.
wiki gone maintenance now? 502 – Web server received an invalid response while acting as a gateway or proxy server. ?

Try the link again when you can. (It’s running slow, so yours may have timed out).
Only played GW1 for about 2 weeks, so I’ll let the real GW1 players fill you in on their opinions regarding whether you might find something similar in GW2. Expect some interesting dialogue. <dry cough>

in WvW and in any part of WvW doesnt have Competitiveness(except Server`s have ranks but not have fairness or objectiveness that its not fit for nature of competitiveness)
so WvW is place of how u like to play (there is no offical restriction)
i ve 2 question then!
- SO, Wont be it absurd requesting Class Balances for WvW adaptation/orientation?
or - Why there is no Offical Competitive mode for organized/synced large groups? as unoffical Deathmatch GvGs?

With the CDi initiative one of the things I and others said at the beginning of the process was that one of the topics should be what are the current pillars of GW2. So the players know where anet stands with regard to their approach to the game and anet themselves can get a better idea of what the players want from the game. This goes for WvW as well, especially with the introduction of EOTM.
Chris Whiteside agreed that it should be a topic but unfortunately nothing has come of it.
Miranda Zero – Ele / Twitch Zero – Mes / Chargrin Soulboom – Engi
Aliera Zero – Guardian / Reaver Zero – Necro

Nothing is off the table.
