A random exotic armor piece would be nice. You would have to fulfill weekly participation requirements to qualify of course.
Honestly, this seems like a great idea. At least this way, win or lose people have something to look forward to at the end of the week. Here’s my suggestion.
A weekly hall of champions or monument that lists all of the top players that devoted their time, effort, and money into the winning the war. It could be categorized to anything from sieges built, upgrades spent, sieges deployed, keeps conquered. Anything. This might encourage some blaming or competition of the rich but at least those that actually tried to help out get recognized.
It would also be nice to have some badge rewards, titles for those who really deserves it.
None, there should be no reward whatsoever untill servers are evened out and free transferring is off the table.
As long as Free Transfers are up rewarding WvW wins will only create more lopsided battles, longer queues and insane bandwagonning.
I’d love to see a Hall of Heroes or something, no items or anything as currently its a bit unbalanced but things like a WAR had for its renown earners only more interesting like:
Most revives, most kills, most gold spent on upgrades, most supply used, most siege placed, most repairs, most siege damage etc etc etc, would be awesome.
Sea of Sorrows
I would like to see 0 rewards please. All this would encourage are fair-weathered players hopping to winning servers.
Do you know how often it takes only 1 day to determine a winner?

Actually i’d go further than that, I’d have a small weekly statue for most whatevers this week for your server, and then a permanent all time one with most whatevers ever on that server, and then have anyone who transfers off immediately removed from any such claim they may have

I agree on not having a physical reward like an exotic item. That just encourages people to move to winning servers. But having non-winning-dependent achievement-like goals would be nice such as “revive x players”, or “plant x siege” or “help build x siege” or even “get x kills”. And then a Hall, maybe in homeland borderlands’ Citadel, with statues that say “Most Kills”, “Most Revives”, “Longest Playing Time”, “Most Money Spent on Upgrades”, etc for that last week and whoever wins those should be able to open up a chest of rewards that gives random loot, but better chances for rares and exotics (maybe even make it just like the puzzle chests in Wv3)
Fer Aline – Thf; Suralinta – Rgr; Alyra Va Tel – Ele; Mer Aline – War
I would like no reward – it would help to alleviate at least SOME of the server bunnies who like to hop to the winning server. Remove PvE exploration from WvWvW while you’re at it. Oh, and anything that botters could profit from.

A weekly hall of heroes would be really nice with statues representing those that topped out in various categories, such as objectives capped, objectives defended. Not sure how I feel about wvw kills etc. I’d rather see any rewards focus around the objective based nature of WvW.

Since server transfers seem to influence W3 so greatly in a negative way, I have to agree with the above posters that stated rewarding an individual’s contributions to the server on which they play is the way to go.
I would think an achievement tab similar to the daily and monthly activities could be added for W3 activities as well and provide a reward in line with the effort to complete the activities. Maybe you would get some silver and XP, as well as X number of badges and a choice of some siege plans or something.
Another idea that would be an extension of something I read above for having the top contributors recognized would be maybe a special title awarded to the top X players of a specific activity. Maybe the guy that walks the most supplies between camps and keeps gets to be a ‘Ram Master’ for the next week, and that title might be visible to opposing factions.
Besides the transfer issue, anything else?
I wouldn’t mind a skin reward that only lasts 1 week, which only is given for WvW participation, so that the SERVER knows that you spent that much time in WvW providing said buffs to the server.

This is a great idea. Everyone enjoys name recognition. And the top five players for the week should have a statue not only in thier home borderland, but they should be in Lions Arch as well.

Agreed with minimum possible reward for the server. They got that right.
Yes I agree with rewards / rankings for players and guilds.
This gets people to keep fighting no matter how bad it seems out there.
no reward – right now people are going to extremes just for a score – last thing you need is a whole server jumping from server to server, finding every exploit possible, hacking and mistreating fellow players for an item. Some people have a twisted idea of fun and don’t see it as just a game.
